  1. yea mt shows a steady rpm range while cranking. the fp also kicks on while cranking
  2. yea, sorry i forgot to state that. i have a pallnet rail with a fuel guage. the guage reads 35lbs when the fp kicks on. the injectors are 440cc supra injectors.
  3. sorry if i was unclear. i meant to say on megatune it says i have a injector pulse with that shouldnt my spark plugs have gas on them? my car is not turning over. i dont really see or smell gas on the spark plugs
  4. while cranking the car i see on megatune a pulse width. i think its 4.7. when i look at the plugs i cannot see any fuel so what gives?
  5. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=117363 was my previous post. now that i have spark i have another issue go figure:emo: . while having the dizzy out and wire up except the coil spark wire on the dizzy to see if it sparks. the problem comes when sends a sparks the middle of the wire (msd wire) will either arch to the closest metal or arch between + - on the msd coil. i have no clue what and how this is happening.
  6. so i just need to run a wire from that left to down prong (in the photo)where the relay was and thats it? i just pulled the relay and their where 5 prongs compared to the 4 on the board.
  7. what ohm is that resistor? i not trying to complain but that picture is a little blury..and thank u for it makes stuff clear just see their is a wire going from the left side to the bottom and a resistor from the bottom to the top? is that right? just went to go look at my relay board and i saw where u have the wire and resistor i have black box. ex u have the 2 box and one with wire w/ resistor while i have just 3 boxes. i know that black box can come off and show that 4 prong. so is the box part of my problem? pic when i got it, of course its all wired up now.
  8. fast idle relay and run a jumper instead? sorry im still learning this could u explain in simple terms what i should do to check to see if this is done. i had a friend build my ms and relay. as far as trigger angle it is set at 65. im running another friends map and codes. just using his setup so it will start and ill be able to tune to my own. which pullup resistor do u mean? sorry about the questions just another noobie trying to get a z started.
  9. yea the fidle is hooked back up and im sure their is a wire from the relay board to ms for fidle. spark is inverted but the fixed duty spark output cycle 75% is that to much?
  10. i have megasquirt running throwing no code errors now with the laptop hooked up. ok here is the problem i go turn the key and low and behold no spark. i have a zxt dizzy(red wire=12v,black=ground,green=not used,white=tach input on relay board) my msd is a 6al (new) and a msd blaster 2(new) i did test msd. rub the white wire on the chaise and unplug the wire from dizzy to coil to see spark. i found out the hard way that my msd is working. i acidently hit the chaise with the white wire while holding the coil to dizzy wire.....WOW talk about a nice little but it works. i took the dizzy off spun it watched to see if the coil would send spark on the wire and it didnt. did hook up msd white wire back up. on megatune i did notice my rpms moving so i dont think i have a bad turbo dizzy. while turning the the dizzy my fuel pump would kick on. Msd is wired up just like the diagram on its back and the white wire off msd goes to fidle...in ms i have fidle has spark output a. im trying to think what else is needed but i would greatly appreciate any help. the more i work with the more i fill like im getting close but damn how i want this thing to fire up already.
  11. here i am at over 2-3 months with ms installed...still working out the bugs have yet to get the car started....patience but if u have a friend or know someone close that has ms get them over to help you out
  12. iv read their are alot of cons on the outlaws. bascially people with wilwoods vs outlaws. i had the chance to get a set of outlaws or a set of wilwoods. i chose wilwoods. very nice fab how well do the outlaws preform?
  13. yea iv been reading and the more i think about it the more it looks like the hydrolic parking brake is kinda worthless if it does not hold.
  14. my brake setup concest of a 2 superlite wilwoods Calipers in the front. the front rotors and hats are wilwoods. the rear is 2 wilwoods Dynalite Calipers. all four Calipers are 4 piston. this setup kinda looks like the az setup but i bought it from a guy who made the setup. 500 dollars i could not really argue. i just got my wilwood proportioning valve and i know to install it on the rear brake line. now my question is since i can no longer use my ebrake should i put a line lock on the front or rear? granted that i dont really use the ebrake at all just to hold the car in park.......the car will be autox but mainly for street use. which would yall recomend to put a line lock on the front or rear? if in front can help in burn outs and what not but if in the rear could be used as a parking brake and what not. what types of line locks do yall use. see alot of people who use the az kit have the line lock in the rear just would like to know pros and cons.

  16. nm about this post i took it out of the cluster and put the meter on it and found that 2 screws are the neg end. so yea it grounds itself. >_
  17. i have a Autometer Boost / Vac Gauge and i have the vac line hooked up but their is only one wire (red) on it. i was wondering if their suppose to be a ground (black) wire. i lost my instructions and everytime i try to get the diagram off the internet my explore gets a error report.
  18. i did this swap im im wondering how long is yalls driveshaft. the specs. did u just cut your shaft down to 24 or did u get a custom one done? how much did it cost?
  19. thats what i did when i did my disk swap. i was going to do the sx swap but i found wilwoods for all 4 corners cheaper. but same concept.
  20. tust me u want to enjoy your z first. this is coming from a 20 year old in school that works on his z non stop. its been over a year and a half and im still not done. i just have little stuff to do. i did a total rebuild and did some major upgrades. im glad i went the route i did but i never driven the z or any z in my life time. so i cant wait till she is done. it kills me ever day i cant drive her but one day i will.

  22. i got my ka tranny up in the z with the modded mount i did. the only thing holding me back is the drive shaft. i was wondering if anyone knew the size of the drive shaft so i can just get a custom one made.

  24. thats exactly what i did but i put my boost guage where the oil and temp guage is. just pushed the oil/temp and fuel/volts over. had to make brackets for them but other then that not a hard install. reason why i put it where i have it is bc i want to see closely.
