Just a update on this issue...here's a pic of 5/8 by 10in grade 8 bolt...fits perfect...not torqued in the pic..and for the wedge pin holes, I just put a little gasket maker in there tolal cost was like 5 bones.....why not go the cheap route when it works so well...

Those look realy good nazar...do they scrud when you go over bumps??? Do you plan on cutting any where??

Man....those are sharp...could you have done it without the spacer if your backspacing was different?? what type of 5 lug setup is that???

Hey guys...let me first say i have done lots and lots of searching before asking about this. I'm trying to find some wheels for my ls1 240z...I plan on going 17in by 9.5,10, or 10.5. This car is going to be a street car mainly and may be up the occasional track day. The z will have zg flares installed with a 10in ground control coilover. I think i like NAZARs centerlines which are 9.5s front and rear.... ON3GOs ccw wheels on the hulk also look great, which i read are 10.5 on the rear. Does anyone know if these two example have clearence issues with the flares they use? Please make reccomdations...the only thing i ask, is that i dont have to have to run wheel spacers...i did this on my 280z and it didnt work out like i had planned for. I also have the toyota calipers on the front and might move up to the 12 or 13 in rotors w bigger calipers at some time. I also use oem 4 lug hubs...Anyone with experience please share so i dont make a costly mistake, i would be open to any style wheel as long as it is a 17x9.5 plus...please foward this to anyone that you think might have some advise....thanks

Oops....your not talking about spacers for Toyota calipers are you??? If not disregard what i was talking about....the light bulb took a while to come on..

I have a set for a 280 but have the thickness measurement for the 240...the only thing i would improve is to make the outside diameter bigger so it was flush with the rotor for a cleaner look....240=.668 260 and 280=.353 I'm also building a 240 and could use a set for it....let me know if we could work something out.

you guys must have more cars around you to choose from than us.....sorry for listing a **** car...For the future which form should this be in???

Thanks for all you guys help...I'm thinking i'll go w the bolt. Dumb question but why does the bolt have to be centered??? I would think it would center it self. P.S. the removal tool just ripped the threads off the pins and bent my control arms.....OOOhhhh welllll

I think you have to convert to turbo shafts which are stronger anyway to get a adapter but Refer to modern-motorsports.com and you should prob up-grade to 280z stub axles 27 spline compaired to 240 25 spline

yes...i took out the lock pin...and i built the puller...mine are so tight i have nearly ruined my control arms...the design still sucks..money is not the issue...bolts seem to be a better idea to me just due to the ease of removal..

Has anyone done away with your spindle pins???? I heated, soaked, and built the tool to pull these f...ing things and still screwed them up...i know I can purchase new ones but couldnt you just tap both sides to be able to run a bolt through the control arm into the base of the strut ???? Has anyone tried this or is it a bad idea??? I am aware that cast steel doesnt tap well sometimes, but is it worth the try to save time and money???

laws on neons are the same here in alabama....not unless you see the bulbs...but many tickets have been wrote anyway...by cops that dont know the laws as good as they should...my father just retired as police chief w 30yrs experience. now he's a lawyer.....hahaha
