  1. Do the suzuki swift GTI swap.... you get 120hp 4 cyl and 1.4 L of terror!!!! I would keep the metro stock .... who could pass up 50 mpg on gas! ~Kenny
  2. At least that show isnt shoving advertising down your throat like some other shows on speed and TNN.....
  3. Im interested in seeing this beer drawing too
  4. I Am sure it would still be an interesting motor in a Z though
  5. pretty cool , it looks like a 4 cam single turbo though ~Kenny
  6. Hopefully I will have my Z running soon
  7. I too am having problems looking at the pictures. all I want to see is a nice turbo setup
  8. man those turbos are almost as big as that guys saleman like smile
  9. SDS E and F systems have it too. To quote my install manual.... "For racing applications ONLY" they say you can program it to retard the timing in the lowest of map positons (when TB is closed) and to dump in all the fuel you can I will not be testing this on my car as I value turbo life and my exhaust manifold in one piece. later ~Kenny
  10. http://www.officer.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi This is one of the more interesting links I got sent today I wonder if my hybridZ name will work in that forum I guess everything is on the web now later ~Kenny
  11. with the dished pistons and P90 , your compression is already at 7.4 or so to 1. do you really want to go lower. your car will be a dog off boost. personally I would stick with what you got. If you have the stock 77 pistons watch out for detonation. I had 4 broken ring lands when I pulled my 75 apart after having an overboost and lack of fuel if you watch the A/F mixture and watch the boost you should be alright. ~Kenny
  12. This may have been a typo , but last time I checked 3 BAR was equal to 42 psi??? say buh-bye to your pistons at that much boost Im guessing it was just a typo though later~Kenny
  13. Also to note on the SDS , I think there might be a HybridZ discount plus thier system is very easy to use , install , and tune. I have one for my turbo car and I love it! later ~Kenny
  14. I have heard prices as low as $3500 for a RB26dett. most places dont list the Rb25 because it isnt so sought over. I think the place that had that price was something starting with an O , I am having a total brain fade tonite. you might look down the list a little should be there. ~Kenny
  15. There are Audi ones as well .I dont remember the years , but some are adjustable. they sell on ebay for usually between $50 and $100 . I just sold one so that is why I know. here are the dimensions. The wastegate is 7" tall , and about 5" in diameter. The plunger is 1.25" and the exhaust pipe on this is roughly 2" wide and 5" long. just to let ya know. ~Kenny
  16. its the Kamanari (SP) three hole that MSA sells. luckly I didnt have to sell my arms to buy it , I found it used about a year and a half ago. to stay on subject , how much to make a carbon copy of my air dam later ~Kenny
  17. Thanks for keeping us up to date . Oh yah and this is my 100th post even though no one will care
  18. Just to clear up some more , the Scooby motor is a flat 4 boxer motor. not a transverce mount I4.
  19. you can get the adapter plate from summit or jegs for like $20 and get a cooler out of a junkyard.....
  20. cosworth BDA 9000 rpm with webers. (doh , no drooling smiley )
  21. GAAAAAAA that thing is UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh and I usually call riced domestic cars corn dogs LAter ~Kenny
  22. I have seen a quad 4'd MG before , wasnt a midget , possibly a MGB roadster , mid 70's. it was a really nice conversion and pretty fast according to the owner. I also have seen one used in a porsche (SP) replicar. rear engine style. It was kool too.
  23. Ive owned 3 of them in various olds and pontiacs (pre Z days , forgive me) I have to say that the headgasket is the weak point in the motor , also in FWD configuration is one of the few IMPOSSIBLE things to do while the motor is in the car. might be a little tricky to get 18psi on it stock since it should have 10.0:1 compression I always wanted to put that motor into a fiero or chevy sprint or geo metro it is a good motor though , and pulls hard for being from GM in the late 80's...... good luck , that is a killer price for the motor later! ~Kenny
