  1. I guess no one has an answer for me. oh , I am bumping this now laterz ~Kenny
  2. ok, I am goin to be doin a Valve job soon on the Z as I try to get it back together. I Would like to know anyones opinions on valves. I Am running a L28 turbo with a stock turbo cam and not so stock turbo. I am curious if there is any advantage to getting stainless or titanium (yuck $$$$) valves. The head is an N42 so I dont know how readily aftermarket valves are available. thanks for the input! laterz ~Kenny
  3. The one I have that I pulled myself has a V07 casting mark in it. I am not sure if this is the way to identify one or not. The other two cranks I have laying around are not LD28's and they have different casting numbers. hope this helps ya out. laterz ~Kenny
  4. I would call turbonetics on that one , it is thier job to inform you on how to use thier product. I think thier web page is www.turbonetics.com . hope this helps ya out. laterz ~Kenny
  5. Those look nice. I would go with the radio/heater block off plate but I need those . It looks good though. laterz ~Kenny
  6. just an FYI, the benz TB doesnt "bolt up" to the L28 manifold. also the TB came on the benz V8's. laterz ~Kenny
  7. Nicely written , I now understand what it takes. My question is if there is anyone in australia or japan that would be willing to set a Z guy up with all the parts needed to do the swap. someone that would get the motor tranny and oilpan and motor mounts all together? And also not rip a Z guy off in the process? Just ccurious , thanks ~Kenny
  8. Also when your turbos get rebiult by places like turbonetics or turbocity , they balance them too. Imagine an unblanced shaft goin upwards or 125,000 rpm. just a thought. you may also want to check with other turbo places , you might have a chance of finding a better deal. laterz ~Kenny
  9. Tim240z , what are you doin for a fuel gauge? I love the look of the ultra lights great job. laterz ~Kenny
  10. I got mine from Mike (SCCA) I would do a search on his name and drop him an email. It was about 6-9 months ago though. ~Kenny
  11. I hate to sound like a sales man , but I have a fuel rail with turbo injectors on it for sale. It looks about the same as Z ferrari's rail but with barbs on the ends so you can use rubber hose. Email me off list if you are interested. Laterz ~Kenny KMRacer007@aol.com
  12. HAHA , I am looking forward to setting up my SDS! In the instruction manual I remember seeing that they had a base curve for injector cc vs cyl displacement. I am guessing you could figure out how far off that curve you are with the injectors now , then set up the new curve off of the 680cc injectors. You may want to do it a different way , but this is my thoughts on it. hope this helps. laterz ~Kenny
  13. I think they are accually 245 hp , my uncle has had two of them. I think the motor may be too wide to go into a Z but I guess you can make anything fit , and it is a 3.8L . laterz ~Kenny
  14. I would have bought them right now but.... i bought Hella H4's about a year ago for $100!!! ~Kenny
  15. This may be a totally stupid question, but can you make and air/air core into an air/water core by welding a "tank" around the air/air core , then just flow water through it?? If i am totally off base here please let me know!!! laterz ~Kenny
  16. DOH! now im not goin to be the first to get them!!! it looks like They are 85 for the pair. some wiring needed here is the link http://www.memoimports.com/prod01.htm Sorry to send you all to a VW web site , but the lights are kool. laterz ~Kenny

  18. dude , you dont want to do that , then everytime I went through Marysville I would be leary of every Z32 I saw . HAHA just kidding , that would be a great deal for the WTF value!!! Let us know how it goes. laterz ~Kenny 75 280zt

  20. I asked almost the same question on the SDS forum. basically i was told to get the next map sensor up (ie 3bar instead of 2bar). when you order the next MAP up they send you directions on how to put the ECU into setup mode where you can change the ECU so it knows you have a higher MAP sensor. you can check the SDS forum out at http://network54/hide/forum/150383.... I wish I knew how to make this link so you could click on it..... hope this helps you out. later! ~Kenny
  21. ive got one for sale if you want , its 4lbs fuel pressure for every 1 lb boost . email me for pics and pricing. thanks ~Kenny
  22. someone on this forum has done it , you use a L20 front cover and timeing chain i think , you should search the past posts. sounds like a good idea if the D block will take an 88mm bore. ~Kenny
  23. i was lucky enough to get to see that motor apart at the PNW historics this year on the 4th of july. there is some very very trick machine work that goes on inside that block. when i was there they had one turbo and one that was NA. i was imprressed
  24. i am looking into Z31 pistons right now , i found some turbo ones at the junk yard but two were toasted , i bought one and measured it , i think that a non turbo z31 piston would work , it is 87mm and with the p90 you have should get some alright compression #'s. hope this helps ya out ~Kenny
