  1. Sorry about the blur, lol.... Mine on the right, my husband's on left.
  2. Senza Pari is making a custom intake manifold. They have started with the design, and here’s a few pics of the very beginning stages of it.
  3. Sourced an L28et from an 81 280zx: These are the pics taken from the previous owner (thanks Dave). Finally got it on the stand, heavy ass engine.
  4. Yes that's mine... I have the msa headers right now (3-2) and I did have that done already. It did help somewhat, but it's still hitting in the front as well as the rear. I'm swapping the engine for an l28et this winter, so a custom exhaust will be in order anyway. I'll deal with the scraping for now . I may have to do something special with the frame rails as well, but I'll update once I get it worked out.
  5. Thank you all! Here's a few more pics that my friend took for his blog:
  6. Ok, makes sense, this is not a 'custom' exhaust, but that is the route I think I need to take. I, myself just couldn't see a way to make it better, but that's probably not my job in the first place. I see the limitation I was giving it, and it was based on a "bought" exhaust instead of someone taking the time to make it fit right. Thanks for all the suggestions guys! Christine
  7. Ok here's another pic, I'll see what the other shop can do. I think the oval tubes might be a good way to go though.
  8. They 'were' BAMF, they were modified by my body guy cause when I got them they were not finished. No spacers, 15x9, 15x10 -53, 205/50, 225/50. I bought the spoiler from here (Hybridz) just keep your eyes open, they don't make them anymore.
  9. 2.5", I will stay at that size for the new exhaust also.
  10. Nicely tucked, did it come down since that picture?
  11. motomanmike, I have one shop look at it and they thought the only way is using ovals, I'm going to another shop (the guys that did my coilovers) so they can take a look, but I wanted to see what others may have already done. We can talk on the side about THAT guy in my siggy, I'm not angry anymore, but I can say that the flares on my car are custom (cause they only started out as BAMF flares but were reworked), even though he wants to believe they are BAMF. Grim, not a bad idea, but I have my tank in the way. I'm not swapping that out (not yet at least - but if I did, something would still be under the chassis not inside the trunk).
  12. Hi all, I'm looking for options to tuck my exhaust. I'm running Stance coilovers lowered just enough to get rid of excessive wheel gap, but even that takes my exhaust nearly to the street. Has anyone routed the exhaust so that it doesn't go under the rear axle? If so, please post some pics. I've seen one post where someone managed to mock up something that wouldn't take the standard route back there, but I can't seem to find it at all anymore. Oval tubing? Reroute? Side exit? Anything? I'm getting ready to do some more work on it in the engine bay, and a new exhaust will be swapped in, but I'd like to plan out something so that the exhaust isn't getting beaten up on the street. I'm not going to raise the car, so please don't suggest that. Thanks in advance! Here's the problem:
  13. Awesome build! How did you route your exhaust, I'm trying to figure out a better way. Is it going under the rear axle still?
  14. Here's some more recent shots of my z.
  15. Thank you! Now knowing what it is I found this: The condenser on the coil is connected to the positive side and is used to suppress noise that will interfere with radio reception and such. The car will run fine without it.
  16. So if mine broke, I assume it is needed and will have to replace it?
  17. My coil is out of spec and I was looking to replace it, problem is I don't know if I can buy coil with an internal resistor? I had this resistor sitting on the bracket inline with the coil (sorry old photo before it broke off). Everything I read says I don't need a ballast resistor but I haven't seen anything about this resistor on a 78. FSM doesn't show it either. I'm wondering if somewhere down the line before I got the car it was put on but not needed?
  18. Lol, I just checked and saw it. Thanks for letting me know! got a photoshoot coming up, but I'm still working in getting the interior buttoned up. Christine
  19. If your going with Stance coilovers, why not get the sleeves to go with it?
  20. If you're going to use Megan coilovers, get your sleeves from zccjdm.com, Brian makes them for Megan and Stance. My car is on his sleeves/camber plates and I have Stance gr+ s13 coilovers.
  21. Apparently you haven't had any negative experiences with him... lucky you. I can say I did, he sent my an unfinished product for which I had paid full price for and I couldn't cancel (because I believed him when he told me every week that next week they'd be done) - he lied about why he didn't finish them and then proceeded to flame me on his site after blocking me from it. I would never do business with him again. If you're lucky, you'll get your stuff. I f not, be prepared cause you were warned.
  22. Yes they are! Work Meister CR01 and thank you sir!
