That Z looks just like mine.... Its a darker blue, but thats about it. This show is very cool! Oh, my brothers and I make films, and our newest movie is going to be just like this anime. My friend removed his front and rear bumper off his '78 Black Pearl 280Z and we are not sure how to take the compression posts off, they kinda stick out and it looks ugly. Can you guys help us out? Thanks

In my 280Z I bought the universal 7inch headlights and put 8000k HID's in them. I have no problems with them, only complements

My friend is buying a 1978 280Z and when he test drove it it seemed to run very well and smooth, the only thing hes worried about is when you engage the clutch and stick it into first and then start to release the clutch it doesn't engage until the end. Does this mean the transmission is going out? Or is it just a minor fix? Thanks

Sadly, my Z is an automatic..... But yeah, I love it anyways. To the point, I heard a good way to launch from a drag in an automatic Z is to first put it into gear 1. Then when its about to red-line you take the foot off the gas and shift it into gear 2. Then when that red-lines you put it into drive. I mean, I did it and you really do get a better start then you would in drive since it down shifts automatically. But i also heard its very bad for your car. Some advice please. Thanks

what i did was buy the housing and put HID's in them, they work very good

ya i havnt called yet.... U know what, im just going to get my money back from the chromed wheels and buy the sport-max's because once I saw those I cant go back to anything else lol. Should I get 15's 16's or 17's What looks best with the sport max on a Z

Really? we called american racing if they sold 16's for datsun 280Z's but they came up with one, and it wasnt really the style that I liked, but if they do 15's then i might check it out... Z cars are a bitch to find good rims for.......

Ok I brought the car back to les schwab tires and they said they could exchange them for a wheel that I liked and that they supplied.... Sportmax isnt one of their suppliers so I sadly cant use that..... Can you guys give me some suggestions on some other wheels that look good in 15's 16's or maybe 17's on my 280Z. I don't want it to look too tacky, u know, something like the sportmax's with a medium offset. Thanks guys. -Dylan

I have an automatic 280Z and someone told me the best way to launch off in a drag is to put it in gear 1, then when it redlines go to 2, and after that redlines I stick it in drive. I know this isnt that great for the car....... how bad is it?

should i get the sportmax silver or black or gunmetal... What will look good with that color can some of u guys post pics of your cars with the sportmax's on plz so i can see

I just got new rims and tires for my '78 280Z. I got them in 16's (rims and tires) But when I put them on they didnt appeal to me at all, I think they would look better if they were installed in a mini-van. So all in all, I dont like them. I love the tires and the chrome aspect of it, but the rim its-self disappoints me alot. So im going to take them back to les schwab tires tomorrow and ask if they could trade them in for something I would like.... Im pretty sure they would since they would be a day old tomorrow. Tell me what you guys think, do you like them or should I buy the famous Sport Max 16x7's. SPORT MAX:
