  1. Well, ain't that a peach? I've seen the RIPS vids on the tube now, commented on a few, but now interesting to know you're an avid HybridZ member. And yeah, the Stealth Bomber... I love how it sounds like a modular small-block open long tube header at about 7000rpms. That has to be my dream project! Keep on melting face. -Willens McShred
  2. Man, I had that horrible moment years ago in my NA Z32. It was absolutely the worst day of my life... Glad you didn't post this on twinturbo.net, there's a lot of heartless elitist pricks there that would have wished the car made it, not you, and would have let you know that; that's what they did to me years ago, haha Take the parts car route, and get to swapping, I agree. Best of luck, -Willens
  3. NOx levels are going to be a lot higher, which in turn creates exhaust temperatures that, depending on how hard you are running it, can get pretty hot. You used the EBay headers, didn't you? the Stillen ones have no issues, but they cost $600 (worthless,) versus the $100 EBay set. I also did those on my Z32, and yeah, the EGR tube is a bitch to run back into the slot (took me an hour with a big ass prybar.) If you are running the car with an open EGR, you need to: 1.) Delete the EGR altogether, or 2.) Man up and plug that bad boy, unless you're loving the health issue with running it that way.
  4. Z1 is generally pricy as hell. If you're looking to buy your way through most of it, Z1 is going to charge you an arm and a leg. There is a plethora of advertisers/sponsors/Z shops that are all over twinturbo.net, so I'd source according to your needs. Talk to Milo or Bernie Bilskie (an old friend) on the site. Those two have forgotten more about Z32's than most of us can probably ever hope to learn. There are others on there, but I couldn't forget either of them. I hope you know there's going to be quite a bit of fabrication, man-hours, money, and frustration going into that swap, but good luck. I'd honestly just suggest you get a TTZ, unless it were a 2by2, due to the cost of the swap versus the cost of the car weighed against it's value afterwards. Good luck! -Willens
  5. Oh, and the 5 lug as well as the rim options for Z32 is another reason I'd like to investigate.
  6. All of this brake upgrade talk is fantastic, but I have one question: You speak of Z31 conversions, but I was really fond of the brakes on my Z32. Does anyone know if it is possible to run Z32 stopping power? How about the diff? Sorry, I'm all Z32, and now it's time to learn for my 260Z.
  7. Jesus ♥♥♥♥; I sat here and read every post in this topic thoroughly at 3:30AM. If that in itself doesn't designate me as 'serious' about an RB26 swap for my soon-to-be 260Z, then I know not what does.
