I really can't stand mechanics working on the Z
LineC replied to savageskaterkid's topic in Non Tech Board
Humm prank call the shop and fish for the info. Something like the is the blah blah I need to get the address for your attorney so I can send blah blah. Then tell him you name is Mr Jack Mehoff and laugh and hang up. -
Well I won't be the one telling you to put a lojack on your daughter but there is definately no doubt those kids are yours! Congrats on the commision. That is a huge deal! I wish I worked harder I would have loved to go to the Air Force Academy. Now I am just working harder later in life <(arr damnit)> 26 and half way to my BS degree. SuperPickle you caught me,, we were also trying for King Salmon but it was late in the season and no action going on. Also it's a lot easier to drink beer when the boat is standing still. Not to bad for a military TDY. You probaly saw us on tv, one of our pilots hit a F16 and had to eject from his f15 and it crashed into the side of a mountain. That definately was a sobering moment for all of us there....

Here is one from my latest trips to Alaska. We went Halibut fishing. Caught a ton of them but none of them were monster. In case you are confused I am pointing at the Halibut.

Can I change mine wife decided to change professions. Arrr Hence why my 2003 Cobra is for sale in the other car section. Ahh well garage will have more space for the Z. S O B -
You all really need to check out the for sale section at craigslist instead of the erotica section. Look what I found for a $100 bucks. They fit good but might need a little spacer on the front. 225 on 16 inch rims. The wheels are Konig Networks I think they stopped making them a couple years ago. I like the look with my paint..
-
Hey are those SVT Cobra wheels? I got those on my 03 Cobra with 275's on them. Very nice!

Just check for any tampering. It's a cheap way to up the boost. BUT if you don't do it right it's a very easy way to blow up the engine. I have actually seen a wastegate rod cut then zip tied together to make it smaller.
-
Yes your tranny will bolt up fine. Take a look at this thread when you decide to drop it in. You might want to take it to the next level while you have it out. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=115904

Look for a welded wastegate or if the actuator arm is messed with. These engines are pretty strong and unless there is a rod hanging out of it I wouldn't worry to much especially if you are planning on rebuilding. Around here I would pay $150 to $250 for a complete turbo engine if I have to pull it. I like the 1983 tranny's which are Borg Warner T5. If it is one make sure you take the driveshaft to. Some people like them some don't. Welcome to the forum. I am sure I missed something. If parts are cheap I would take a lot more probaly to...

Appriciate it Moridin and Mike. I have a wedding to go to that week in Maryland. Maybe they will call off the wedding and I can come pick your car up Mike. Don't worry I got the title in the glovebox no hassels.

Just got back from Alaska and been able to drive it a little bit. Very impressed with the drivetrain but has its downfalls. Has all the clunkyness and squeaks Mustangs are known for and the interior is pretty cheap looking to me. Car handles really well and I didn't know Ford made seats this comfortable. Already starting a winter fund to get the blower ported and tring a different pulley. Hopefully that will get this thing around 450 to the wheels. Ohh ya MiKelly we can work something out still, don't despair. I would trade even for your Porsche. I will even drive down

Damn that would be nice wouldn't it. Maybe I should take the rear brake lights out and start doing brake checks. Hey Stony I leave for Elmendorf tomorrow for some military sheit. I will be there from the 2nd though 16. I already loaded my bags or I would offer to bring some thing up for ya. Going Salman and Halibut fishing up there also.

:twak:Catch her in the shower naked with a camera then post the pics here and at rate my pic.com. Only if she is over 18 though

Well guy called my wife couple days ago and wondered if we would be interested in his Cobra. He just got a GT500 for sticker and had to let it go. Worked with me on price and now its at my house. (I am weak) Looks like SVTperformance forum has a new member. No worries though not selling the Z. It's a 03 with 6000 miles and under warranty untill 2010 or 75,000 miles with a CAI, catback and steeda shifter no pulley mods or tune yet. Amazingly quick and fun car if you can get past the inside. Here are some pics

My fav is the F22. Currently working on it after a lot of training. Went from F16 to F15C and D model, now F22. Just a engine mech but those F22's are something else. Nobody stands a chance! B1 still scares the sheit out of me at the airshows though! Got my ride in the F15C model with the F100-PW-100 engines. (old) Being a engine guy I know what VMAX is and hate to see it used. It does increase fuel flow but while doing that it increases burner pressure and FTIT(combustion temp). Not a real big increase in thrust but I guess if your trying to get away you need it. (suppose to jettison externals also). Downfall is it rapidly decreases life cycles of the motor also. Every once in a while a jet comes down with the safety wire off the switch and I have to ask him. They know it's wrong to use during training and they always have the excuse "my mask got caught on it". We can get away with boroscoping the engine to look for excess heat damage and blade strain, discoloration blah blah. Ohh well when it shells out at 20k into the next motor it will probaly be my ass anyways.

Here is my male boxer about 3 months ago. Looking to breed also..

how to dispose of your 280zx properly: videos
LineC replied to OlderThanMe's topic in Non Tech Board
Damn I think his engine runs better then mine! -
I am in Hampton. The guy I dealt with is a eletrical engineer @ Jefferson Labs in Newport News. He just builds them though and really doesn't mess with the tuning aspect.
-
Who the hell wants a Delorean. For 21,000 fun money I would probaly be found like Chris Farley in a week.
-
If you do decide to go Megasquirt, the Bowling and Grippo company is local to me and maybe you if your from the Hampton Roads area. Also DIY autotune has everything you need and has a great reputation. I suggest reading this before you spend anymore money, great reading and this will get you to 350hp and beyond on proven/tested experience. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=115904

Stock form is AFM which is horrible. Basically a large door has to open whenever air has to get to the engine. Do some research and you will find that the boneyard electronics on the 280z and zx'z is inferior and cheaply replaced.
