  1. cant you just reverse the sides on the RHD one and it will be the same?
  2. mine actually came exactly how your looks, so whatever you have taken off is exactly what was taken off of mine by the previous owner... im sorry i can be a little more helpful...
  3. i have the same ones, and it took me a while but mine are perfect and i didnt have to replace the glass... the only issue is that everyone is intrigued by the fender mirrors and wants to touch them...
  4. well my suspension broke yesterday... time for coilovers! but it does put my time frame way off so i dont know if ill be able to finish the overhaul in time...
  5. thats exactly how mine looks.. same front and everything... if the gap bothers you though you can always get another couple grills and weld them all together...
  6. automotive primer... not just any spray can stuff... if you are going to take it down to bare metal it will be a lot of work... yes, it might give you peace of mind but mine was (from how you describe it) the same as mine and going down to the metal would just be too much... its up to you in the end haha i did the good enough paint job about 3 months ago only because i knew i would be painting it soon ( now haha) you get out whatever you put in, the more time you put in, the better it will be...
  7. is the paint thick or clear coat thick? either way, i would not suggest sanding to bare metal. I would use 600 grit first, and dont forget a sanding block. how OCD are you going to be about the body? making everything straight and show worthy or just good enough for now type of thing? if you are dedicated to this, you can have it in primer in less than a month...
  8. hoping to have the Z completely overhauled by July 1st... wish me luck haha
  9. Im hoping there is not a lot of hidden damage, like suspension or undercarriage or even the bottom end of the engine... its just things youll have to get under it to see you know? I have a 350Z and i was looking for something like this to rebuild at first.. but i decided against it in the end...
  10. the seats in that z are not the ones with airbags, but the bags alone will cost a pretty penny... if you can check it out in person, make sure the frame isnt bent, in a couple of the pics it looks like it might be which again will be hard and costly to fix... depending on who does the work and what kind of deals you can find this COULD run you the price of just buying a used '03 for 10 or 11K... not saying it WILL just saying COULD.... its a perfect candidate for a lot of fun options if its straight...
  11. they should work.. look just like my 75 280z ones.. but is that expensive for these?
  12. do you have two sets of studs on the car? no? then it only fits 4x114.3... EDIT: damn it LoneStar... you beat me to it..
  13. why not just get 240z parts? they should bolt on the same and they shouldnt be too expensive... then you have just use the 240sx coils and not worry about that 1/8th of an inch... thats what im going to do when i actually do this... and i know you said that parts are hard to come by where you are but im sure most, if not all, of us on here would be more than happy to help with that....
  14. the 527's look much better than imagined... cant wait to get mine for the 350 now! haha
  15. your friends car looks like mine with louvers haha
  16. just some random not so good pics I took out of boredom haha
  17. well after I had taken apart the center and taken a good look, the hazard switch had been cut into and spliced into who knows what. I had a spare switch laying around, swapped it in, pretended to turn and "click click click click" the garage was open and I yelled with excitement and scared the people across the street haha Ok, to answer you both: the mirrors are actually really good so far, they dont move when the engine vibrates but they are easy to adjust. For the entire 70 something dollars I paid (shipped) Im very happy with them and i can actually see when Im on the freeway or in town now haha BUT I will say... they dont do ANYTHING for you when backing up... otherwise I love them! Ill see if i can find the exact person I got mine from because they were easy to deal with and great communication.
  18. Im 21 now, but Ive always loved classic Japanese cars, and cars in general. I was saving to FINALLY get an old Z but then my friend was selling his RX7 (FC) so I felt bad and bought it... I didnt love it like I would love a Z so i put it up for sale or trade and traded for my 280Z, even though it was in worse condition. I have since brought her back to beautiful life and love driving and working on her. All of my other cars have bothered me with their little issues but i love all the little quirks with my Z. Not going to lie though... my first Z love was the wangan midnight Devil Z...
  19. I HAVE BLINKERS! Yes, I am overly excited about it.
  20. yep already did that... when I tested everything it said i had power to and from the hazard switch, but they dont work.... the hazards or the blinkers, so I have a second switch that im going to swap in today and see if that makes a difference... I have nothing against the previous owner, he is a nice guy, but should have done some more research before trying to wire everything... It was all spliced and wires were just twisted together with no covering... but all of that is fixed PROPERLY now
  21. took apart the center console today and got A LOT of the wiring figured out, and got my stereo to work again FINALLY! no blinkers yet though...

    MASKING???

let us know how it turns out!
  23. sounds like it would be similar to the '08 Nismo 350Z (color wise) because the kit is two toned. I think it would look good, and leaving your urethane valence and such black should be fine.
