  2. WTB stock fuel guage for 1982 280ZXT - broke the needle on mine
  3. I just cracked mine trying to port it for a GM Coolant sensor so I am not going to even try to haggle. Just give me your best price shipped to NY 12303 and let me know how to send payment. You can email me at darkzebra@verizon.net
  4. WTB: Thermostat housing (bottom part) for a 1982 280ZXT
  5. WTB: (1) OEM fuel guage (in dash cluster) for 1982 280ZXT (2) T3/T4 turbo to rebuild. Preferably with Stage III exhaust wheel and 60AR compressor
  6. PETW has an Autopower roll bar listed for sale $250: in the parts for sale section.
  7. I should have mentioned I will be using MSII. In addition to the pulley on my 82 ZXT, I also have a 2nd pulley from an 81 ZXT. Willing to consider all options to keep my PS and A/C (car is a daily driver).
  8. Has anyone done an EDIS install using 3 pulleys on the crank, i.e. on a car retaining both PS and A/C? I have searched but can only find BRAAP's single pulley and Derek's dual. If there is no alternative: 1. Would the 3 pulley, with 90-teeth wheel, from a 1981 280ZXT work on a 1982 280ZXT? 2. Would EDIS function efficiently with a 30-1 wheel? 3. Can this 90-teeth wheel (which is closer to the block) function for EDIS as a 30-1 wheel, by removal of the alternate 2nd & 3rd tooth? Any help would be appreciated.
  9. Finally had it done in and out by srpowdercoating in NH, at less than half the price quoted by the jet-hot dealer in my area. Looks good (of course I did not do it for looks!). Communication with Chris was excellent, and he kept to the original quote even though the manifold was more difficult to clean because it was apparently ceramic-coated before.
  10. Thanks everyone, for all the suggestions. Since it seems the dual speed Taurus will not allow me to run IC tubing as planned, I have decided to replace the blades on my flex-a-lite fan. I think I may have contributed to the blades breaking prematurely because I only bolted the fan shroud at the 4 corners, allowing too much flex in the center (also had to replace the radiator). I have now added 2 bolts in the center of the fan shroud, with spacers between the radiator and shroud.
  11. Car had Tokico springs which lowered it approx 1". Rims were 17" on low profiles. Pic of MSA II front attached.
  12. This is how a Style 2 kit from thezstore looks
  13. I bought my 82 280ZXT with no purge canister, and the line from the tank "blocked" upfront. I have since bought a used canister for a Geo Prism (very flat) to install. On top of the Prism canister are 2 ports labelled "tank" and "purge". At the bottom is another port with no label. I am presuming the "purge" and the unlabelled port would be connected to the intake manifold and the accordion hose after the AFM. Is this correct? Is there a specific order for them to be connected?
  14. Swain said they only do external. Finally got a quote for jet-hot coating - $400 for 2000 Grey. Guess its too much to handle at present
  15. I am sure. But when your only paycheck is now from the unemployment people you have to spend more wisely (especially with a wife around!)
  16. I had asked earlier about the tranny and was told that not any T5 would bolt up directly, because the Nissan bellhousing is different. Also, if the N/A gearbox is used it was recommended that both the flywheel and pressure plate be upgraded to the ZXT or 2+2
  17. If 2.5" tubing can fit with the stock mechanical fan that is why I am interested to know if it would also fit with the Ford Taurus upgrade, since it is my understanding the Ford Taurus fan is a low profile one.
  18. I have already disposed of my stock mechanical fan so its got to be electrical.
  19. Never thought about that. I do have space between my IC and AC condenser.
  20. Check the 2 vacuum hoses on the top of the intake, closest to the firewall, are correctly routed and not broken. Maybe try switching them. I once had a problem where my 83ZX would idle well but cut-off completely upon acceleration. Started just after an engine wash - apparently the hoses came loose during the wash and they just re-attached them.
