  1. I have watanabe R types. I have to run a 5mm spacer all four corners to clear my wilwoods from the spokes. My setup is different however, 16x9 R 16x8.5 F. It would depend on how big your calliper and rotor are.
  2. To clarify, the April 2013 edition of grassroots motor sports had a very good write up on his car.
  3. Grassroots motorsports did a feature on this car. Check out the archives, I believe they talked about it in detail.
  4. Wondering if you stayed with the original tachometer with your setup Lazeum? I am having trouble getting mine to respond to the signal from the coils.
  5. Here is a picture from that side. The bracket for the coils is made by a member of this forum, forget who lol. 20131109_140908 by git-y-up, on Flickr
  6. Its a 4 piece design. The L bracket, the sensor mount.... ( a picture is worth a 1000 words) Sensor Mount Close up. by git-y-up, on Flickr As you can see in the picture, it is also supported off the front cover to insure rigidity at high speeds. Here is how I mounted my coils. COP coils from a ford expedition. The A C B groups from the EDIS are run in series. Engine pre-carbs. by git-y-up, on Flickr The engine is currently running. Have balanced the carbs and set the idle to 1000 due to my cam. Used your initial safe timing graft as a benchmark. Have to start the long tuning process now. Since the fuel delivery and timing work hand in hand to create the most efficient/powerful combustion, I am not sure where to begin. I basically have a fresh rebuilt engine with 10.3 Compression, fresh rebuilt mikuni carbs, and EDIS. I have to make all these work together without a real benchmark.
  7. Hey Lazeum. Thought I would show you how far I got with my setup after you and Leon convinced me to go with this EDIS setup. After evaluating your sensor bracket I thought I would take it a few steps further. Wanted to make something that was more sturdy and less likely to move/fail. Your Design is already beefy, so I used your Idea as a reference. Instead of using the bolts on the alternator side of the engine, I chose to use the AC compressor threads as mounting points. Here is what the Lead Mechanic/Machinist at Whitehead Performance built for me: phone 179 by git-y-up, on Flickr Tony did a great job using premium stock and hardware. BTW Crank dampener and trigger wheel supplied by Rebello.
  8. Thanks Lazeum, Ill make the part and most likely will have an AHA! moment. How did you decide between 1st Gen and Second Gen Ford EDIS coil packs?
  9. Nice of you to offer the cad files. All I own is CAD14. Nothing 3D capable. The drawings are good enough for me. How much correction was built into the crank bracket to line the sensor with the trigger wheel? Or did you machine the dampener to a line the sensor and trigger wheel?
  10. Great CAD drawings Lazeum. I am one of the fortunate individuals with access to a Father in Law with a lathe and machining background. Hope you haven't patented this sensor mount design yet cause I am going to be a copy cat. If you would be so kind and make my life a whole lot easier, do you have the drawings for the TPS sensor bracket you fabed? Ill fedex you some good Canadian Beer:) LOL If I am Its all your fault
  11. Amazing thread Lazeum. Yourself and Leon have convinced me entirely to go with this mejajolt setup. Simple and straight forward with great results. Thanks for the effort, Andrew
  12. Never mind. Wolf Creek racing will be helping me with this. Thanks. Delete please mods
  13. Looking to buy a set of 3 matched Mikuni phh 44 carbs. Doesn't bother me if they are type S4 or S5. Either type will suit me and my needs. If seller has manifold as well this will be great. Pm me or email at onemorekay@gmail.com
  14. HAHA well defended keep it up. Might get more done if you clean as you go, just saying...
  15. Great thread. Congratulations on your zed and work you have done so far. Ever thought of a Turbo l28? Or you rather stay away from electronics? Haha
  16. I've got a clean P90 core, i will check on the exhaust manifold...321 948 9574 make me an offer on each Thanks Jim

  17. Looking to purchase a p90 core and a Turbo manifold. Please pm me. Will pay for shipping. Live in Ontario Canada.
  18. I had the bung welded to my exhaust pipe right after the collector in a vertical orientation. O2 sensors read better and are protected by moisture when installed in this way. I'm gonna do a write up on this. Ill link it from here once I'm done the install.
  19. Thanks mate. Great reply. Ill go pick up a relay and Try and hide it in the steering column.
  20. I am currently wiring up a innovate Motorsport wide band kit. It suggest you take power from a ignition switched power source, the system also draws 5amps and should also be fused for such a load. I have a 1975 280z with stock wiring harness. Where would be the best circuit to tap off of for power and where can i find it under the dash? Thank you.
  21. Thank you, ill take pictures of what I see to make sure its the right screw.
  22. Easy.... right.... wanna do it for me? haha Thank you, now i know it can be done:D one more question: Do the gauges come out through the dash or do they come out from behind the dash?
  23. Hello Hybridz. I been searching around to find out if its possible to remove and replace gauges in a 280z with removing dash. A simple answer will help me more than the information I been able to find. Thanks
