Its pretty official, my dad's friend said he will let me take the Z, and I can work out the payments later. I was thinking of using $2000 as a down payment when we sell the 1991 Q45 (Anyone here interested in it?). However, I did not know how much more to spend. I was hoping to pay in total about $2500 or $3000 but I don't know if this is cheating the guy out of the money, because he said he just wants it off his driveway, I'd feel bad for cheating him out of money from the 240Z so heres what I already know is in it. 1)Weber Jets I'm guessing its triple carb'd or something 2) A Nitrogen tank which I can fuel for free since my friend works at a paintball field, and we use N20 in the guns or Co2 but I'm sure I can still fill it with the N20 from there right? 3) Pretty sure, I'm not 100% sure, that it has an L24 engine, it might have the L28 or L26 since when I showed the picuture to my dad since he saw the car, he said they all look like thge engine. 4) The car is a beautiful very bright and shiny red color, I've seen the outside of the car in person, and it looks very nice. 5) The interior looks pretty much stock, he re upholstered the seats and they look like black leather stock ones, but they are in very nice condition. 6) It already has those plastic headlight covers installed This is about as much as I know from now, the car is in Austin TX, and I live in Houston TX, so I don't really go up there alot, and don't plan on leaving empty handed since its like a 2-3 hour drive so, I want to know how to fully evaluate a 240Z before I decide to purchase it for X amount of money. I know things like common rust areas, and uncracked dashes are very valuable, what else should I look for? I will be able to open up the hood and whatnot, just not dismantle anything lol so I won't be able to know those sorts of things. But the guy knows other stuff that has been done to it

18 Inch Kruz K26, I was just using them as a reference, they're a tad pricey for real I went to Kuwait to visit my uncle a couple years back, and Pakistan, both countries have nice cars. I know in Pakistan, almost everything is diesel, Corollas, Civics, Trucks, Buses, Etc.

I've never seen such a beautiful blue Z, This color is very inspiring maybe I'll paint mine simillar, I would've however went with a White side stripe, idk thats just my taste. Engine looks real clean and almost "Modern" Great job man, I've never been so impressed by a near stock Z. I like the body kit as well Any interior changes? What seats are those in the car? Lights look real good too

Can somebody say Camaro Interior guages and front. The tail lights are just puzzling to me They should rebadge this like the Gran Torino or something, idk it doesn't live up to the Mustang... Neither did the 80's ones or the early 90's ones. I think Ford needs to hire some new people

And the DB5 was in the new Casino Royale I must say, Aston Martins are my FAVORITE cars, Even more than something like a Rolls Royce, a Z, etc. The DB5 is one beautiful car that I admire dearly, I'd love to see that sort of kit, but it would be difficult to make since the DB5 kit would have to make a trunk and some other obvious details

Okay thanks, if I didn't find rust or a very negligible amount would $4K sound alright?

What should I look for to test if this is a good Z or not? And I mean rust spots, body imperfections, etc

I'm currently looking at a Z that has a N20 Tank, apparently has Ferrari Seats (Idk how to verify exactly if they are real) and some other mods (I think K&N Filters for one of the minor things). Its really my dad's friend's son's car, but hes putting it on the market, he said just take it from his hands but I honestly feel bad and dont want to cheat the guy (His wife just divorced him too) so I was wondering how much a Z that is in pretty good condition is worth. Heres what I know, the outside is beautifully maintained, the headlights have the plastic covers already on it (which I think I like) the seats apparently have Ferrari Seats, it has an N20 Tank in it, The dash and steering wheel is stock, The engine is still an L24 I belive, (Do L28's have the three little carbouraters? I dont think so but I might be wrong) That is rebuilt. It looks like this, without the white stripe Also, does anywhere sell a stencil of that white stripe that says 240Z? I love it so much with the bright red color, but yeah it pretty much looks like that with Headlight covers and the color is like the same. So how much is a Z like this generally worth? Idk the year but I'm sure no drastic changes happened between 71-73 (Is that right?) Obviously I'm a total noob at this and hope to learn on this and my 91 Infiniti Q45
