Rockauto.com has them for $59.79 each.
Here's a discount code: 26657572206401 (expires March 7, 2010).
If you buy from rockauto, enter the code above in the "How did you hear about us" line of the shopping cart.
Sometimes you can find deals on ebay, too.

It's been too cold to do much since my last update, but I finally got the suspension swap completed and the brakes bled on the 76.
The 78 is waiting for me to pull the engine and transmission and to strip the rest of the parts I want.
Paul came over today and helped me finish bleeding the brakes on the 76 and to help turn it around in my driveway. I want the front end at my garage entrance for when I pull the motor in the next couple of weeks (hopefully).
So, here's how the car sits on the swapped suspension. It looks much better at this ride height. The turbo wheels are temporary.
I also took some things off the motor, but didn't get pictures on that.
Not the missing center cap... It didn't see eye-to-eye with my floor jack. Bummer.
I've decided on gunmetal gray for when I get the 76 repainted. It needs a lot of body work, but not really any more than my 260z that got painted several months back.
Still have a lot to do before body work starts.

I started seeing a girl a few months ago and when i met her my car wasnt running and had a blown motor. She has been so encouraging in getting my car going that its been unbelievable. I was just very discouraged with the thing and wasnt really wanting to work on it and it had been sitting for a few months. She got me off my ass and helped me pull the engine out of the car to at least start the process. She even helped me tear down the engine once it was out. Ive been fighting finding a short in my turn signal system that i cant find. She comes over and just sits in the passenger seat and turns the key off and on while i test things to see if the short is in that harness or not. It has to be so boring but she looks like she is having the time of her life. That is the last thing i need to do to the car so i can get it inspected here in kansas and get it on the road. So i have to say that my GF is amazing in the fact that she supports me in it and hasnt even gotten a ride in it. She says she wants to find one that we can build together for her. Im planning on doing that soon!!!Mine is encouraging me, and telling me she wants to hang out with me while I work on the car. She's also fallen in love with the 350z, specifically white ones. I think this one's a keeper
She also hates valentine's day and chocolate
Both are keepers, no doubt.

My ex loved my silver 240 and actually helped out some when I was putting it back together after paint paint in 2003. She could polish the hell out of wheels but got really upset that I didn't let her work on things like wiring. She thought I didn't trust her, but it wasn't that at all. It just boiled down to me doing things a certain way that she didn't really understand. I tried to keep her involved, but before I completed the reassembly it turned into this big ordeal about me loving the car more than her, which is absolutely the truth.
My current girlfriend cares nothing about my car obsession, but likes that I can fix her's when needed.

That sucks. An engine-builder front once told me to never use those aluminum plugs. I thought it would take much longer for them to deteriorate... Definitely good to get the word out on this.

Actually, a few more pics in the beginning this album, from when my 260 was owned by the same guy as the blue and silver car: http://picasaweb.google.com/nullproject/1974Datsun260Z#
I forgot my car had that one on when I got it. These pics show it with turn signals, but still no bumper. I think it looks better with a bumper, as with the cool blue car in your first post here.
My friend likes to use that spoiler because it's not too far from a stock look.

I have a friend who uses that one. Some pics of his car here, though he's not using turn signals:

It's a little flimsy in the middle, so he used some aluminum pieces to keep it in place. I think that's visible in a few of the pics.

That's fine as long as you have a return line. Otherwise go with their $25 regulator that's usually available behind the counter at advance/autozone.
I completely agree that holley's are pig rich out of the box. Went down a few jet sizes front and rear on both of my 750's.
Do you know if the previous owner did anything to the carb? Can you describe more on how it runs under 2k rpms? Does it idle ok? Does it have a good inline fuel filter?

Welcome back! I remember you and your car. Good luck getting it back on the street.

Very nicely done!

Here's one with side skirts and betamotorsports hood:

I personally wouldn't use the door seals. Everything else in the kit is pretty good. I have heard of someone breaking door glass from trying to slam the doors with these door seals.
Also, be sure to wipe some silicone spray on your seals so that they don't stick to your doors/hatch/etc if the car sits for some time.
-
Most people don't use the door seals from the weatherstripping kit for that very reason: They're too thick. Check the 'new weatherstrip alternative' thread for door seal candidates. I like the mcmaster carr weatherstripping for the doors.

Just the pedal itself.

Looking for an automatic brake pedal for a friend's 240z.
Thanks,

Finally got back around to working on this 280. I haven't had time recently to work on this car, but the guy wanting my '78 has been asking about it. He's ready to get started on turning into a full drag car. And I'm ready to get rid of the '78.
I stripped the interior out of the car several months back, so the next thing on the list was swapping suspension goodies mentioned above between the '78 and the '76.
So, today my friend Paul came over and we knocked out most of the rear suspension swap. This worked out for him, too, as he needed the rear suspension from the '76 for his recently purchased 240z. He brought his rear 240 suspension for the suspension shuffle. The new owner doesnt car about suspension or brakes, since he's going to gut the '78. We just need to be able to move the car and get it on a trailer in a few weeks.
'76 in the air with rear suspension out. Still need to disconnect the driveshaft and pull the r200.
'78 donor car, with kaminari front spoiler and fiberglass hood already removed. Still need to pull the lights.
These are on the '76 now. I'm not doing any cleanup for now, just wanting to get the '76 back on wheels and the '78 to the new owner. The '76 will go for paint in a month or two and clear a spot for me to get the 260 in the garage.
That being said, they'll clean up quite easily. I had cleaned and repainted these before they went on the '78.
Front suspension swap will be next weekend... Motor removal will occur shortly after... Paint job pending afterwards.
Whole lotta shuffling...

xlsx is the standard extension for Excel 2007. it should open simply by double-click... which is what he's trying to do. it sounds like the registry association with xlsx got hosed somehow.
has it always had this behavior? does the same happen for *.xls files?
is reinstalling office 2k7 an option for you?

The car came out of paint jail last weekend and is currently in my friend Paul's garage. My engine is sitting on a stand at his place, so it makes sense to get the engine together and back in at his place. Also, a friend of his is going to rebuild my transmission. And my garage is currently full as it is.
I rebuilt the quarter windows with new seals last week:
And today I went to Paul's and put my weld wheels back on, as well as the quarter windows, inner hatch seal, and door seals. The car looks way better with the weld wheels, but it's very jeep-like right now.
I have a ton of cleanup to do...
I also bought a new cam for the 377 today. I'll post specs soon.
I'll do some more next weekend, but the holidays will prevent me from doing too much until january.

"Nullbound" was recently selling some nice Hooker block hugger headers at a great price here on HybridZ -- they may still be available.
I still have them, but recently decided not to sell them. These are slated to go in a 240z that a friend purchased over the weekend.
Thanks for the referral, though.

The 70-72 are more desirable. The '73 mounting brackets are boat anchors compared to the earlier ones.

Paint is almost done. I should have the car back in less than 2 weeks. The painter isn't happy with a few things (including the hood), so he's trying to straighten out those things before he'll let me take it home. I have no complaints about that.
Haven't had much time to work on the motor. I've been cleaning the heads and the intake manifold, but still a lot more cleaning to do.

The motormounts are bolted to the setback plates. The spacers go between the setback plates and the block.
Like this:
And definitely buy the manual. There's a lot more info there than you think.
