  1. Just trying to figure out if there are any other cyclists here? I found a site that will custom create cycling jerseys with any logo....so I thought that a Hybridz.org jersey would be really cool...that is if there are no problems with using the logo... Who do I need to ask for permission to use the logo? Anyone interested? later! Bryan Dat240zg
  2. Thanks guys. I think that's what I'll end up doing.....but, just for the sake of wasting time, ever thought of cutting out a large section of, or the entire firewall and replacing with an uncut one from a parts car or something along those lines? I know that I'm probably asking for more than I know of, but what can I say, just loco like that . Bryan Dat240zg
  3. Any of you guys have experience filling small holes in the firewall? Due to eager beaver previous owners portions of my firewall look like swiss cheese - lines for aftermarket A/C system, random holes for ventilation ( , etc. While my motor is out for the turbo swap, I wanted to fix 'em all and get it looking cherry again. Any tips/pics, encouraging words..... Bryan Dat240zg
  4. jason: PM'd you about your manifolds Bryan Dat240zg
  5. Just curious; I've heard of some people running a return line when swapping the L28t into a series1 (more specifically, a 240) but I haven't been able to get the definitive word on whether it's needed. Also, I'm using the '75 tank and am wondering if the stock fuel line will cut it as far as flow is concerned. Anyone able to help? Thanks. Bryan Dat240zg
  6. Thanks for the info. Uhh.... anyone have a driveshaft out of a turbo zx that they want to part with??? BTW, congrats on the times! Very nice for the (mostly) stock setup! Bryan Dat240zg
  7. Yeah, I know, but it would look nice! I saw one that came with one of the covertible Z kits, but it was part of the rear cap and was made of fiberglass. I'll try to doodle one up in Fireworks and post it. I know zilch about metal work, but have always wanted to learn. Bryan
  8. I'd like to have a rear spoiler of sorts on the back of my '70, but don't want anything tacky or that would take away from the lines. I was thinking of something like a cross between the low profile MSA fiberglass spoiler and something like the back end of the Ford GT 40 (mini duck tail). Ever seen one done in metal? Ever thought of doing one? What do you think? Bryan Dat240zg
  9. For a while now I've been hearing that the driveshaft out of a auto zx turbo will fit w/out cutting into a series 1 (for the turbo swap). I'm trying to decide what to do about the driveshaft for my '70/l28t and have heard that it works. Anyone have any experience or words of wisdom? Thanks. Dat240zg
  10. Sorry, just saw the pic of the 432 R with the black hood. Thanks for the info! Bryan
  11. Alan: I've seen some of the so-called ZG's that have a gloss black hood. I couldn't tell from your pics if your's has that or is that something that wasn't done from the factory. Yes or no? Thanks Bryan
  12. Apart from the G-nose, was the 432 model similar paint wise to the fairlady ZG? Thanks. Bryan
  13. If I missed a post somewhere, sorry, but I can't seem to find any good pics or details about the ZG model, its paint scheme, etc. Anyone out there able to help? Thanks! Bryan Dat240zg
  14. Andrew: I've been going through the same swap and the wiring is the probably the most intimidating part by far... I've tried to pull together as much info on the wiring as possible; I'll see if I can find the file and shoot it to you. The short of it is, get as much of the harness as possible. I was able to get mine out without disconnecting much and only cutting 5 wires. I was always told (and it ended up being good advice) to get the motor running in the 240 first, and then start seeing what can be removed without affecting performance or drivability. I know that I haven't given you too much detail, but if I can find my file I'll e-mail it to you. Shoot me your e-mail address. Later! Bryan Dat240zg
  15. Did you switch your wheels up? I thought that you had a different set on the last time I looked? Very nice setup! Bryan Dat240zg-t

    cost

Billy: I shopped around and found a wrecked turbo donor car that I bought for $800 (including my transportation costs). It was an '82 ZXt/T-5. I ended up being able to sell enough parts off of the car to cover all of my costs. Mine is going into my '70, so I'm having to cover the additional expenses of fuel pump, fpr, I/C, fuel rail, etc.... Does that give you an idea? Bryan Dat240zg
  17. Anyone ever looked into using 2 smaller intercoolers (ex: 300TT, 2 DSM, etc) for a 240 turbo swap? I just saw a setup on ebay that included the 2 front TT intercoolers and all hoses, etc. and it got me thinking. Will the dual intercoolers still not flow/cool as efficiently as a large single? Just for conversations sake, pretend space isn't an issue.... Later! Bryan
  18. Thanks Scottie. No rush as I've got lots of other things I can work on. 'Preciate it! Bryan Dat240zg
  19. If you have one, or know of someone trying to unload one, I'd be interested. Thanks Bryan Dat240zg
  20. Alan: I'd love to take a look at the pics. Would you e-mail them to me also? My address is bholmberg@fayar.net. Also, it was good to hear your experiences with the head. Thanks again! Bryan Dat240zg
  21. OK, I'm an idiot. Sorry for the post. I just found my info through the search. What can I say.....It's a monday morning....
  22. Just curious, is there a difference in the offset of the ZX hubs compared to the 240 hubs? Is it true that they'll fit the spindle fine? I'm swapping the ZX brakes onto my 240 and wasn't certain if they are the same or not. Any one with any experience? Thanks Bryan Dat240ZG
  23. I just got one myself, and while I realize it's not quite a Starquest/NPR, its what I've got.... Did you use yours? If so, how'd you feel about it? Pleased? Thanks for your time. Bryan Dat240zg
  24. Curious; has anyone tried to use one of the radiators from an automatic Z with the tranny cooler integrated into the radiator and switch the lines out to work as an oil cooler? Is there any reason why that wouldn't work? Possibly too restrictive? I have one sitting in my barn and was wondering if it would work as an oil cooler in my turbo swap into my 240... Bryan Dat240zg
  25. Bill: Got any pics of the of the show? Sorry that I wasn't able to make it. The Z was down for repairs. Bryan Dat240zg
