  1. violaclef: As far as the offer goes, what's the ballpark that you're looking to get? I've been waiting to get my hands on the parts for this swap for a good while now. Bryan Dat240zg
  2. Well, I realize that some were a little suspicious earlier, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm happy. My Konig Imagines got here yesterday and Woah! Nice! Now for some Nittos and MM spacers..... Bryan dat240zg
  3. I know that some of you are looking for the Konig phone number, so here it is. 1-516-822-5700, ext 206. That number will get you Jeff Fisher. He's a good guy and has helped me keep track of my order - which is supposed to be here today. Hope it helps. Bryan Dat240zg
  4. Thanks. I went and looked at his gallery and didn't see any pics. I'll send him a PM about it. Bryan Dat240zg
  5. I've been debating whether or not to ask this question for fear of being permanently relegated to the tool shed, BUT..... Let me set the stage first. My turbo motor/swap parts came to me in pieces and the Z previously had carbs, so this is my first time fooling with injectors. I'm putting everything back together and am hitting a snag. I have the DSM 450 injectors and a JSK fuel rail and am having trouble figuring out the way the injectors mount. I have the chiltons manual and have looked at the diagram for the way everything goes together but it still seems that there would be a large gap at the base of the injector where the pintle (sp?) cap goes in to the intake. What am I missing here? Do the DSM injectors require something else to mount them up that I don't have? Also, I hav a set of 2nd gen Eclipse injectors that I've tried and they seem to sit deeper in the intake but have a smaller (more narrow) body. Anyone tried these? Thanks for any thoughts that you might have. Bryan Dat240zg
  6. I'm plumbing mine up this weekend and just wondered if anyone has any pics or advice as to where to route the fuel lines. Input anyone? Bryan Dat240zg
  7. I'd advise getting it done pretty quickly though....the NASA website had (for a while) a posting that the deal was going to be ended due to the overwhelming response. I guess that Konig used up their allotment of wheels for this deal. I went ahead and sent in the info and it looks like it's going to work! Got some of the new Konig imagine in gloss black! Mama! Glad this helped out a few of you guys.
  8. Which would you choose? Money is getting a little tight right now and I already have my 2.5" mandrel bend system. Will a 3" press bent be an improvement or should I stick with what I have? Thoughts, comments, jeers.....???? Bryan dat240zg
  9. Just thought that I'd pass this one on to you. In the June issue of GRM, page 21, there is an article that states the following: "Thanks to the generosity of Konig Wheels, NASA has a new benefit for its members: Purchase any 15 inch Konig wheel for $55 and any 17 inch for $75. Members will have to provide verification of their membership status to Konig and also run four of the company's stickers on the car." The contact info is: emanansala@konigwheels.com The guys name is Ernie and can be reached at 516-822-5700, ext-206. When you email them they will send you a very simple form to fill out. I went and ordered the set of new Imagine gloss blacks! Cool! If you aren't a member of NASA (nasaproracing.com), it costs $40 annually and included in that is a one year subscription to GRM - worth it for that reason alone! Bryan Dat240zg
  10. Tim: Just wanted to let you know that the money is in your account. 'ppreciate it! Bryan Dat240zg
  11. No Problemo. Still the same paypal account? THepburn*at*semprautilities.com Bryan
  12. Tim: I'm in for a XL T and a Transfer. Prices still the same? $19/$12? Shipping still the same? Thanks. Bryan Dat240zg
  13. I'm a stranger to RB issues, but have been tossing the idea around of an oil cooler of some sort. I know that several people are using the C&R radiators. Anyone have one that has the oil cooler incorporated into the side? I'm looking at one now and it looks promising. Bryan Dat240zg
  14. Guys: this came from Glenn’s Performance (a mustang site) and got me thinking. Is there any reason why this type of setup wouldn’t work on a ’75-’76 tank being used for a turbo swap? They’re using the same Aeromotive fuel pump and filters as I have. For me, I’m not setup to weld in a sump, so just wondering…. Any thoughts? http://www.glennsperformance.com/index.php?product_fs Scroll down to where you see their sleeper tank with the aeromotive pump and filters attached.
  15. Alright...I'm needing a little input from the wastegate gurus here. I'm in the process of purchasing a TiAL 38MM wastegate and need to select my spring (.4 .5 .6 .7 .8 .9 AND 1 BAR ). I know that everyone has their opinions, so I'm hoping that some of you will share yours with me. My current setup is L28T, stock electronics, TB upgrade, IC, T3/T04E, 450cc injectors, ProfecB II, etc. Any thoughts? Bryan Dat240zg
  16. el240z: Like the others said, the only difference is the hinges. I had a set of factory Gnose hinges and they got snapped up pretty quickly. While factory hinges aren't being made any longer, you can buy a really nice set of aftermarket gnose hinges that are as close to the originals as you can get - and they're made by a fellow hybridzer. Here's the link: http://www.baddogparts.com/index.htm Bryan Dat240zg
  17. That was a set that I had for sale. The buyer was a deadbeat so, they're back up on ebay. If for some reason they don't sell this, I'd be glad to offer mine up as a pattern. Bryan Dat240zg
  18. I was cruising ebay for AN fittings and kevlar/SS braided lines and found a number of auctions for parts from NASCAR teams - the lines and fittings, but also for aluminum radiators, MSD, etc. The prices were low and the condition appeared to be good. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42604&item=7971858264&rd=1 Anyone using these or have any thoughts? Bryan Dat240zg
  19. The nose came with a parts car that I purchased. I've looked it over fairly closely and don't see any identifying marks. I'll be taking/posting pics of it tomorrow. The hinges and covers are both Nissan parts and were there as well. Bryan Dat240zg
  20. Man, based on the response to these things, someone needs to start producing them again! I'll post some pics tomorrow. Bryan Dat240zg
  21. Actually, thought it was kind of cool. Thanks for the mention.
  22. Those are my parts. I guess that I'm going to skip the gnose due to the amount of serious bodywork that will be needed to make this one work well. If you guys want pics let me know. Bryan Dat240zg
  23. I'm looking for the seam where the front edge of the hood meets the back of the gnose. My hood appears to curve down (never been hit in the front) so that the front of the hood is approx 1" lower than the edge of the gnose. I'm going to post pics tomorrow. Thanks for your pic. Your's fits much better. Bryan Dat240zg
  24. The gnose came from a parts car that I purchased, so I don't have any idea where it originated. Mine has issues with the headlight buckets as well. I'll try to get more pics of the nose tonight. Thanks. Bryan
  25. I'm in the middle of fitting the gnose and have run into some fairly severe fitment issues. Currently, the gap between the leading edge of the hood and the back of the gnose is large (3/4"!) and there is also the issue of the line between the curve of the leading edge of the hood dropping off more quickly than the the line of the body/gnose. I recognize that this is a little difficult to visualize, but I don't have any pics with me at the moment. I have the nissan factory gnose hinges to change the angle of the hood opening and have adjusted as much as possible to tighten the gaps and yet still allow for no binding/rubbing. Is this inherent with the gnose? Or is this more related to an aftermarket copy? Anybody have any closeup pics of their setup that I could reference? Alan? Anyone? Thanks. If I cant get this thing to fit any better I may be selling the hinges and going a different route. Bryan Dat240zg
