Hi, Today i decided that my 1980 280zx could go on without the rear hatch window louvers. So i removed the louvers however i am having great trouble removing the mounts. Before i go yanking on the mouts in order to pull them out (pulled a bit and they did not budge) i was wondering if they wrap around the window underneath the weather stripping? Thanks

Well, should i be looking for a 4.5" lug pattern? what other measurments should i be looking for when purchasing new wheels?

Hi, Sorry about te noobness but I have never purchased aftermarket wheels for any of the cars I own. I was wondering what kind of 17" or 16" wheels should I be looking for for my stock 1980 280zx. All I know is to look for the 4 lug models. Any info woud be appreciated.

Ya, i am kind of iffy about putting that on the net (I have some of these photos on myspace, etc.....) And It does have the original seats. I love it! Just got finnished fixing the clutch and it runs great, however the e-brake sticks sometimes due to the housing eroding near the back tires. Assuming my car is totaly stock (pretty much is) what do you guys think would be some worthwile upgrades? Im a bit new to the z world so give me a break:icon44:

Hi everyone, Here are some pics of my 1980 280zx. Got repainted three years ago, the color is Nissan Sunfire Metalic. It has been kept close to stock. Im a noob so i put a CAI on it. I will post new pics of the interior becuase i just put a new grant racing wheel on it. Let me know what you think!

Yes, it could very well be the starter. Probobly a 6/10 chance. Its much easier to get a first hand experience with the car in order to determine the problem.

Does anyone know of a good way to remove stripped bolts? Any know-how will help!

As long as the car keeps getting older you will always be repairing it. Lets just say Zs arnt getting any newer. But for that issue you may want to give your local mechanic a call and get an estimate about the valve.

So is it just a made up car? people just give there car a random amount of body modifications and decide to call it a 180zx? this makes me sad:cry:

So it was an official release then? Not a conversion that was just given that name?

Today i was browsing the internet and i stumbled across a couple of message boards where they were taking about a 180zx. Has anybody ever heard of this before? Supposedly it is some sort of conversion i hear?

Hi, I just recently noticed a problem with my 1980 (Manual) 280zx. After i depress the clutch and release it it only comes back half way and stays there. I can manualy pull it up the rest of the way with my foot and there is no resistence however it never returns all the way on its own like it used to the last time i drove it (about 2 days ago). Also it seems that it is harder to put it into gear and shift gears, there is even an occasional grind every once in a while (mainly when im switching into 1st from a stop). Is this a easily fixable problem or should i bring it to a shop to get it fixed? EDIT: Ive come to the conclusion that i need to replace the slave and the master

So your saying it would not effect the steering at all? (and i never said it was stock, mr. assumption )

Hi everyone, I just picked up my first z today (1980 280zx) from a family friend and I have to say, it is very fun to drive. Im excited and already thinking abot upgrades! Ive already ordered a cold air intake but i wanted to know if strut bars actualy affect your handling as much as ive heard? Whats your oppinions?
