  1. Just to be clear. If i remove the pop off valve and install a BOV on myu intercooler pipping, would my BOV help me in case of a boost spike or my wastegate failing? Should i just re-route the air that the bov vented to the air that goes to the turbo after the AFM? thanks alot
  2. It is easy it just takes some patience. Just cut the ring with some pliers and remove. The ring is the one holding the hose to the injector. When you put new hoses just put new fuel hose clamps (the ones that are made for fuel lines without the little squares on them).
  3. just get new ones. and clean your calipers to remove any old brake fluid that was there
  4. clean all of your connections before you start replacing studd. It usually works.
  5. grab them and move them side to side until you can pull them out... you can cut tu ring that holds the fuel injector hose and put a new one without the ring
  6. what is a good paint to keep the flat black??? i want to paint my car in a flat color ?/

  8. the easiest for me was to remove the whole fuel rail with the injectors on...

  12. today i removed my 6 injectors to clean them. when i tested them all of them dont have the spray pattern. Whenever they open a bunch of fual comes out in a stream. No spray at all. What could cause this? Is there a way to fix the injectors?
  13. my six injectors look like the last one on the pictures. today i tested them and they dont spray at all they just open and a bunch of fual comes out in a stream.. how do i get the spray pattern?
  14. hey man what distributor are you using the one of an 81 or an 82? do you have your injectors clicking? if you have fuel and spark it should start. maybe rough but start... does it makes like it wants to start? or it just cranks?
  15. today i re did my wiring, soldering everything, fixing connectors... the cars pulls hard. alot more than my n/a setup. Right now im runnign the stock 7lbs iwth no intercooler and stock everything, even stock n/a njectors. I am jsut waiting to receive the injectors that i bought from s130z and it is ready to go to the track.
  16. the engine was warm not at an operating temperature.... and yes it was at wot
  17. yesterday i did a compression test on my car.... it is a 77 280z with a 128et swap..the car runs good and it feels strong.... this is how it came up: 95 90 95 95 90 95 it looks really like a really low compression... I did the test with the j-pipe off and the throttle fully open, sparkplugs removed, and a good battery... what would you guys recommend as the next step...

  19. i have no personal experience selling cars with copart, but i have bought many cars from an auction called copart http://www.copart.com/c2/home.html the cars are usually totaled or stolen but i have seem many Z's and they usually sell for a good price even though they are usually beated up.
  20. ok. I made some progress. My friend let me borrow his ECU which was on a 83 zxt. As soon as i plug that one in and started ir RANm and perfeclty it idles good and does not die or anything. Now I only have to check why is it running so rich and hook my e-fan. It looks like everything is working out now. Does somebody have a picture of a stock turbo manifold with all the vacuum portas coneccted??? because i could not find any diagram or reference for the vacuum lines.. thanks for all the help guys
  21. the injectors are firing it is the ignition that is the problem... i'm thinking that maybe my computer is bad, because i tried to read any pulse coming out of the ECU on the yello/white wire and it did not even blink the voltage stayed the same. i will check directly on teh CAS to see what happens... just one quick questions.... does the green light has to stay on on the ECU while cranking??? mine goes off
  22. I have been working on the car trying to fix some issues. I already have injection. I installed the 81 turbo dizzy and CAS. The new problem that i can seem to solve is spark. I have no spark from my coil. I checked with my multimeter if i had any kind of pulsation from the yello/white wire coming from my ECU but it seems that i dont. Is this a good test?. i have a couple of questions 1. Would it be possible that my CAS is bad only for the Ignition signal? 2. Does the fuel pump relay interfere in any way with my ignion? 3. Is it possible to use an 82-83 turbo ECU with a 81 dizzy? thanks for your time guys. right now im really dying to drive the car.... later i'll get some pictures
  23. I already have the CAS mounted on the block. Why is it that the e12-80 distributor would not work, it seems to be working, but i have not move the car.
