  2. im gonna be in houston area this weekend so if any one has a set there willing to part let me know.
  3. the tko is a step in the wrong direction if you want better shift feel, they are real notchy, but they do hold up to alot of power. The t5 and t56 are going to be you best bet as long as you keep the stock shifter, and using a better fluid helps to. I've personally used Honda atf in the t56 and notice an improvement.
  4. I'm not asking any one to ship, due to cost. But if any of my fellow Texans have a spare set of good fenders that are in good shape i would be willing to pick up. Let me know what you have and if you go pics that would be great. Oh and if it make it any easier, i got a complete 280z suspension and r200 i was saving that id be willing to trade.
  5. cooler pressure are usually 70-100 psi. you can fun rubber line but make sure its transmission fluid compatible or it will deteriorate. Also you need to run those hose fitting with a little flare at the end to help keep the hose one. Or you can just run steel braided an lines.
  6. heres a pic of what i did. basically i clean/cut all the rust away sealed it and cut a panel bigger that the area. i used a cardboard template to get the right size. thne starting at the corner tack welded and formed the panel to fit the curve as i went along.
  7. Looking for the parking brake cable equalizer for a z32, its the bracket the connects the two rear cable to the front cable. On that car its service with the front cable, but i only need the the bracket. I really hate to buy a new cable just for the bracket.
  8. btw id run the line the say way as oe if space permitted and get ride of the combintion valve.
  9. im workin right not on making the 300zx parkin brake setup work, using the 300zx cable and just fabbin a cable mount and balance bar. its looks very doable.
  10. 90-96 yes both axle shafts parkingn brake cables parking assembly both rear axles and hubs would like calipers and rotors but it not too important but would like it all come from the same car
  11. Im looking the rear hubs axles, parking brake assy and caliper off a 300zx or q45. prefer it all come from the same veh. let me know what you got, Im in central texas so if you close ill drive to you, unless your willing to ship. thanks
  12. seen many gm starters with broken noses, if it breaks id second the hitachi starter, smaller and adjustable.
  13. http://www.hobartwelders.com/products/welding-helmets/ i got one of the mid-range helmets, for 100 and i like it, havent had any problems.
  14. got to say im in the same boat as you, i was going to email next week and be ready to put down some money if needed, i like the idea of using cobra brake and can get parts cheaper. fyi if you do find another kit here a place that can get you the brake for a decent price. Its a local shop here and i know most of the guys that work there, quality stuff. to bad i dont have a mustang. http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/SVE-2300K/1994-04-Mustang-Sve-13-Inch-Front-Cobra-Style-Brake-Kit
  15. id go with either 1 or 3. i let the dirt guys have .060 blocks, if not done correctly youll have cooling issues. and if your looking for basic build there you go. but the are plenty of cheap aftermarket heads that make more power then the double hump heads.
  16. no your wrong, most newer motor run at least 20 degrees hotter than motors 20 years ago. most motors runs around 210-220 range where the old motor ran 190-200 range.
  17. Modern engine run hotter due to the engine burns cleaner and more efficient at a hotter temp. electric thermostat were included in some vehicles to keep the temp at a constant temp. To keep the coolant from boiling over the oems have increased the pressure. for ever psi of pressure increased the boiling point like 3 degrees. you shouldn't have any problems keeping and engine cool with the proper radiator and thermostat. With a 2jz you might also add and oil cooler due to it being a turbo motor.
  18. what motor are you running? externally balance or internally? and what clutch and t56 are you using?
  19. some better pics with the transmission in place while i make a mount.
  20. actually i have run a ir thermometer across a radiator, i do it one a regular basis to check for a stopped up radiator. you should see a uniform temp at the inlet tank across the fins and as you travel down the core to the outlet tank youll see the temp drop uniformly. if you got cold spots then you got a stopped up radiator. usually see a temp drop from 50-80 degrees depending on veh, amb temp and fan speed.
  21. yea twin turbo, with a t56, and according to my measurements the shifter should come up in the middle of the hole. ill find out later this week when i test fit the transmission. and also as soon as i find my battery charger ill post better pics.
  22. So after a 6 month break finally get back to the car. Had installed it once using jtr mount and found it was too close to the passenger side strut tower with the headers. so as a tes fit i use 1.75 in spacers on each side and found it to be ideal. now i intend to get another driver jtr spacer and have both milled down to the 1.75. also i have an old azc front lower control arms that i intend to use but am missing the heim end spacers. Does any one know the exact size or where i can order a set? i believe it to be 1" spacer on each side but not sure at the moment.
  23. there gonna hang a little below a stock lt1 oil pan, you still have to clearance the tunnel for the slave, its tight but the only way to get long tube in the car. if you car been lowered too much you may have problems. but i belive they hang 3-4 below a stock oil pan.

  24. Hi,

I saw your old post on the S&S long tube headers. I'm looking for a new set of headers for ZWOLF and am wondering if I can get a set of long tubes under the car without losing any more ground clearance. From the look of the mod that you did for the slave it appears that they fit fairly tight against the floor board. Do you remember the reducing the ground clearance much?
