Well the guy who was buying my car backed out cause he just had a kid so im stuck with my Z. I have it stored in a friends garage right now til i figure out what to do. I want to keep her its just the fact i am in the navy and i am trying to go to night school to get my degree so i barely ever get to work on her.

I sail on the USS Nimitz . Fun time until you almost get blown over by a F-18.

Very true, I am lucky that its pretty much all surface rust except for the small hole in the passenger floor pan.

Today I was searching for rust and it didn't take long to find a fair amount so I gutted the car.

Well my new 4 piston brakes are in and just need to be bleed(didn't have time to do it then).

Well the new dash cover is in so no more cracks. Soon I will get some pics of my new calipers before After

Update: The brakes have arrived and as soon as i get back from Florida i will e putting those on plus my new dash cap.

It is the original dash but it does have some cracks on top so i ordered the half cap.TR, I sanded it but not wet sand. Update: Well my 4 piston front calipers are on there way and my muffler is on order.

When I bought the car it had a bright red 280Z air dam. I will be getting a 240Z air dam in the future so I decided to paint it for the time being. I used rustoleum black and laid 4 coats and i think it came out decent. Before After

Well here is what she needs to be road worthy. -First it needs registration and insurence -Exhaust -Front calipers As for future plans, nothing is set in stone but i want to swap a L28et or convert my current engine to turbo. I also want to put coilovers(eventually) and a nice set of sway bars. I am stationed a few hours away from Buttonwillow and they also autocross at a Air Force base nearby. This car is my project but I want to keep it street legal with 275-300 Rwhp.

Now, 5 years later and after my second deployment on the Nimitz I finally have my Z. My Z which I got from a guy on the Nimitz for $3,200. Its a 1973 with a L28 w/ SU's and a 5-speed already dropped in. Here are some pics.
