  1. I've swapped out r200 rears in the past and its been pretty much just a standard bolt in with with a 280 mustache bar. But this time its not easy. It seems that the front mount is off by about 1"... I heard rumors there were 2 different style R200s...
  2. I have to buy some new connectors for the injectors also. Are there 6 or 7. ok, i know only 6, but since i'm new to this dayum injector stuff isn't there one connector on a cold start valve? I'd just go look but i'm at home trying to order stuff and the cars at my shop. (ok i feel kind of dumb asking this. LOL) Thanks Phil
  3. yuppers looks like he is going to get some of my hard earned $$$ very shortly. Thanks for letting me know, I didn't notice them on his website.
  4. Right now its pretty much a stock turbo setup. Plans is allot but i'm doing all the brakes/suspension stuff first. (done it the other way in the past and ended up with a quick car that didn't stop well. LOL) I guess i'll just keep the stock injectors for now. Anyone have a good place to get the plastic hold down thingys for the stock injectors? Thanks Phil
  5. I've had this car since 99-00 time frame. I have only driven the car once since then. I've ordered lots of stuff over the years and done some some work here and there. It sat 20 years in a barn (as the story goes) so I wanted to do lots to it but not cut it up to much. 72 240Z 280ZX Turbo T5 Tranny with Hurst shifter. 300ZX rotors, toyota front calipers, modern motorsports rear disk brake brackets. Adjustable coilovers (modern motorsports) Adjustable struts (Tokito) Adjustable sway bars (forgot what brand) Poly bushings (energy suspension) Should be good for a street driver. My history: I own/run a custom truck/hot rod shop. Building custom frames, custom air suspension, etc.. one of my favorite pics, towing it behind my dually my messy shop. LOL This takes up a good amount of my back, can u tell I have had a passion for 240Z cars? lol
  6. As i'm putting together my Z and started to get the wiring and pluming done on the turbo motor. I have new injectors but at some point lost the plastic hold downs and the fuel rail. Since I have to buy the plastic parts and a fuel rail should I just go ahead and get another larger injector instead of doing this later? From what I remember years ago people were using some sort of ford injector was easy to get to work and it was cheap good mod to do. Any suggestions?
  7. mine are for the 240Z.... I have 280Z hubs on it cause i stripped my 240Z hubs out overtightening the bolts, so I need the same ones u have. Heck, i may just get these machined. I got these from modern motorsports many years ago.
  8. I think i messed up somewhere. I have the 300ZX rotors and put them on my 240Z hub with the spacer. As I was doing it I stripped out one and found a set of 280Z hubs so I figured i'd use them instead. (this was about a year ago when I started) I've tossed out the 240Z hubs and went to put on the 4 piston calliper and it doesn't line up at all, are the 240Z and 280Z hubs a different offset? Looks like I could just take the spacer out and drop it off at a machine shop to get a little taken out of it... Any ideas? Thanks phil
  9. As i'm putting together my 240Z it appears that I have lost my 280ZXT fuel rail. I guess this makes a good excuse to build one or buy a aftermarket one. Anyone have suggestions on either or.... Thanks Phil
  10. Tabco looks good, wish the pics were bigger to tell if thats exactly what I need. Is there a web site for the zedd findings?
  11. Well as i'm restoring my 72 I find out that my rust free Z has some bondo held together by screen material on the lower rear rocker sections. Who does everyone suggest to get new ones from, I could make some from scratch, but i'm sure someone has them pretty cheap since its a common rust area. Thanks Phil http://www.lowdowncustom.com/gallery
