  1. could he smell like donkey? The answer is concrete and mathmatical.
  2. Sure you do... It's been a while since I've had homework. This is a question I use when training Six Sigma Greenbelts and it was from my Blackbelt instruction.
  3. Yeah, I think your reading it wrong or I wrote it wrong one of the two. You dont know whats behind the door. You pick a door at random. After you pick the host opens one of the other doors to show that that it's empty. That means that you can either stick with the door you originally chose or switch to the remaining unopened door.
  4. Not quite what I was looking for but I'm pretty sure you knew that already
  5. This is a problem that I give in a class I help teach for my business. With the amount of engineers and such on this board I am curious to see how this goes over. Your on the gameshow "Lets Make a Deal". In front of your are three doors. - Behind one door is a new car - Behind another is donkey - Behind the last one there is nothing Okay, lets assume you want to car and not the donkey! You pick Door Number 2 After you pick the host opens Door Number 1 to show you that it's the empty one. Now here comes the question. Do you stick with your original pick of Door Number 2 or switch to Door Number 3? Oh yeah, and you have to be able to explane why!
  6. That would be just like stuffing a sock in the front of your underwear!
  7. I don't remember the year but I think any year will work. Mine are pretty cool. They are leather and have speakers in the seat backs. Do a search under my name and miata seats. You should find a lot of information. Thanks for that.... I will probably go with miata seats.... when they become necessary' date=' have a lot to do before then. BTW, I asked you this once before, but it was in an old thread, you may have missed it.... You were in UTX and in EOL now? UT name escapes me, Fei perhaps? your current nic suggests Unreal Tournament, and the avatar is the same as a player there..... kinda funny if so.... I suspect the datsun interest will outlive the UT addiction. Anyway, back on topic, thanks for the feedback on the Miata seats. tannji[/quote'] Maybe I'm just really tired but I really don't understand your reply. UT = University of Tennessee vol = Volunteers (as in the University of Tennessee Volunteers) man = self explanitory 99 = year of graduation from UT The fat dude making a fool of himself = laughed my a$$ off the first time I saw it

  9. My miata seats are about 1/2" shorter than the stock Datsun seats. They also only took me about an hour to install.
  10. Well, I took the lil Honda home this weekend to my fathers shop in Knoxville. Thats a 4 hour drive in a car that I really didn't trust for a 4 min drive! No one ever accused me of being safe Anyway, after getting it there I decided to look to see what my dad had in his parts shed and what to my wondering eyes did appear but a 2.2 Honda engine just like the one in my car. I switched the whole fuel rail and all is well with the Honda. Well... Almost. I still have a SURGING problem. When the car is first started the car surges between 500 and 2000 RPM. It does this until it warms up. Anyway, After fixing the engine problems so quickly my brother and I decided that it was time to fix the body. It was pretty straight but the clear was just about gone on the whole top of the car. $300 and about 60 man hours later and I now have a new paint job! In all I have under $700 in the car.
  11. Okay, I think I am narrowing it down... I disconnected the fuel pressure regulator and it did a lot better. This leads me to think that it might be an injector problem. The thing has been sitting for several months. I guess Ill call tomorrow and see about pricing for cleaning injectors?
  12. Well, I broke down and "installed" a new O2 sensor. I put "" around installed because I have a super secret way of installing them so that Autozone knows none the difference! I guess it doesnt matter anyway, it has a 90 day policy. Well, when I first put it in and pulled out I felt like it was doing better (still not right but better). I drove it for about 10 min and then the light came on. As soon as the light came on it started driving like more poorly again. I stopped, turned the engine off and restarted. The engine light was off and will stay off as long as I'm easy on it. I can pull out really slow and it will run kind of okay... As soon as I try to give it a little hell the light will come on and it will run even worse again. I have used starter fluid to try and find vac leaks but have yet to find anything. I am kind of running out of options here????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Oh by the way, its an automatic.
  13. I read the codes from the ECU. It is showing an O2 sensor. I unplugged the sensor and the car drives the same. I am wondering if... A. The O2 sensor is not working and that is my problem? B. The O2 sensor is not able to compensate for the problem and ecm is throwing the O2 code. I wouldn't mind changing the thing out just to see but the dang thing cost $80!
  14. I just bought a 90 Accord from a friend of mine. He had parked the car a few months ago and it was running fine when parked. When he tried to start it it would hardley run at all. It would not idle and he had a hard time getting it to a shop. They suggested changing the fuel filter but that didnt help. They told him that anything more they do would get into a lot more money so he decided to sell the car to me for $250. After a tune up, fuel system cleaner and a top off with 93 octane, I can get it to idle just fine but it still has problems wanting to get up and go. when I give it gas it will start to shake and not want to acclerate. If I give it about 3/4 throttle it will pull off but very sluggishly. After I am moving it does okay but I can still feel it cutting out as I drive. Every time I stop and take off it gives me a hard time. I thought that driving it for a while would help things out but it really doesnt seem to be getting any better. Can anyone give me some advice?
  15. From your experience with the kit do you think it would be possible to die the seat two tone? I was thinking about dying the center section the color of the car (If I go orange) and the rest black or Leave the center section tan and die the rest of the seat black. Do you think it would work or do you think it would seep through the leather under the tape? I would be using the seams in the seat as a guide.
  16. By the way, what year is your mustang?
  17. If it has a turbo it is probably a 280ZX. It could however be a 280Z with a ZX engine
  18. Yeah, that is the reason I am thinking of staying away from darker colors. When I was in college I had a 83 ZX. It had a really bad silver paint job. There were some spiderweb cracks on the hood and they really didn't do a good job prepping the car. Because of the color though the car still looked really sharp. I could go the whole winter without washing it and the thing would still look good.
  19. Like I said above I am leaning towards the orange. I am going to call the guys at leatheriqe tonight to see if it would be a good idea to die seats two tone. I think the car would look mean with two tone orange and black seats and door panels. There is a site where a guy does this to his Mark III and it looks okay. The only thing that bothers me is that his site showes the seats taped off but doesn't show them finished? Has to make you wonder?
  20. Okay guys, it is getting time for me to order my carpet and I need to pin down a color to paint my car! I keep going in different directions so I thought I would post some examples and get some ideas. First off I think I have decide that my car will use with the MSA Aero II air dam, or the Air ducted urithane air dam from MSA with a fiberglass euro bumper (I love the look in the car below but cant afford the Kaminari air dam) I will be using the Aero II side skirts and the fiberglass euro bumber in the back. I was originally going to go with black with tan leather seats and tan carpet to match. I have since been going back and forth between BLACK, ORANGE, GUNMETTAL and SILVER. Here are some examples below. I also really like the way the second orange car looks without the front bumper. I think it would look good that way in any of my color choices except silver (dont ask me why). I hate to say it but I'm almost leaning towards the orange even though it's not Tennessee Vols orange!
  21. Has anyone had any experience dying leather seats? I currently have tan leather Miata and was going to paint the car black and use tan carpet. The more I think about it though I may be going a different direction and am wondering if my seats can follow me. I have been looking at this company for both dying and crack repair. http://www.leatherique.com
  22. Well guys, I am still in the progress of buttoning up my mouse. I installed my Victor Jr. intake last night but had a little problem. I read that the intake should be torqued to 30ft/lbs. The only problem is that I could only get to 6 of the twelve bolts with a torque wrench. I snugged all the bolts of in order then used a box ended wrench to tighten them all down pretty good. When I put the torque wrench on one of the bolts I could reach it still had quite a bit to go to get to 30lbs. From trial and error it seems like 30ft/lbs is just about what I can muster with a box end wrench. Is this okay? What should I of done?
