Thanks mate The problem i have with gramer is that i have been in the shed for 25 years with no contact with people or the computer . I have been doing my thing for so long , people just let me do my job and i do it very well ,but im not so good with people and chating but i am trying , i will try to inprove, please try and put up with me and i will post lots of cool zed engine parts up . Im not a hic im just a bit diffrent .
-
OK sorry to make it hard for you i wont post any more thanks

Yes in turbo form they are a very good engine .The down side i had was trying to get inlet temps down in a race as i went up in hp and boost. When it made 600 hp atw it was a monster but it would start to drop off as the motec removed timing as the heat got into the inlet manifold . and i went thru 4 blocks as i tryed to push over 500hp atw with cracks in the bores , so i just stoped and went to the NA with ITB 48 mm and 13.1 comp L29 this made 193kw atw and was a fast car

OK sorry if we got of on the wrong foot . Now the rb25 head is as good as the 26 when worked over . I wonted the head to be ITB and not hydrolic tappets for a start ,the down side to the 26 head is the chamber size ,so its not the best option for a high comp race engine ,but the head i have was off a real race car that was raced by team i worked for in the 90s . So it had all the right stuff and had been ported by the best men in the world at the time so i had to use it , the chambers are still big at 58cc but with the 3.4 stroke and bore ,and with a big bump in the piston it will be ok

Well no i have not met 260DET but its not the first time this has happend over hear . I never ment the way its come across ,and im sorry to all the people thet have not liked that , i just dont like it when we get the motors from the US and they dont do what your shops clame .And thats what we have seen for a long time , the US has some of the best engine men iv ever seen i was there for bit in the 90s and was very inprest . So please dont get me wrong your engine men do know there stuff ,its the hp clames i dont like ,the best L30 in oz would make 330hp engine and its a realy fast car

Tony like i said im just hear to look and see what is out there . If Rebello made 400 na hp engine with 45mm carbs that will be more than a record good luck to them . i will just build my motors and be quiet .
-
back on topic the head has worked but like you say there are lots of problems . like the oil retern ,i have made the drysump pump remove the oil from the rear of the head with a -12 fitting and this fixed the oil drama all water and bolts line up and it works ok , the reasion its not finnished is the cost and time i need to spend on it , i have been very bizzy with all the L28s i built in the last year .17 last year from a 1 man shop so time is not on my side
-
mate im the most open engine man it the word and very open to new things im not hear to sell any of my work as i have plenty on i just wont to shear and see whats out there i do beleve that rebello made one very mad engine for that car ,top job and well done i just dont think it was a cheap 3L stroker, the work that goes in to any proper race engine is not cheap and if they made 133hp pr L thats amasing
-
hi tony i did say the turbo made ,600 with the plenem and the ITB race motor made 193kw atw im not trying to be rude ,the rebelo race engine we had was in my shop to test as the man that paid for it was not happy as it did not go as it should, he paid for a race motor and it did not go like one and it made 290hp on the engine dyno and he was promest it would make 365 hp at the engine , and they said that was the least it would make , i tested it and i cheched all the parts and worked out that it as making the right hp for the parts in it .
-
thanks mate im not trying to piss you guys of i just dont like bs hp figers as they are un realistic , a 400hp L 3L with 133hp per L is not real any where with a 2 valve head , in austraila we have a race class caled supercars 5L v8 chev and ford with 620hp at 7500 with 10.5 comp per L thats 124 hp and they cost 120k to build with canted valves and the best injection setups you will find any where , so for a L28 type engine to make more per L is not realistic . the best head i have ever tested was from a jap 10.9 sec drag car with 50mm carbs and 9300rpm 3.2L it made 347hp and we were stund it had 48mm valve that had been moved over and it flowed 243 cfm
-
340 kw atw turbo L29 and it had 1020kg
-
well the N1 has more meat around the head bolts and is diffrent around the cooling chanels it was made for racing as the 32 gtr would crack when we raced it with more than 2 bar for long times . i have seen so many 26 blocks cracked around the bolts on the deck and the 33block is no better, as for the boost responce the 28 is on full boost 1000 rpm better than a 26 with the same turbos
-
well i do in fact have some my road car ran 10.00 at 134mph i will post the time card later whis was with a 5s box and a 1000kg car it had 340kw
-
well the 30 block is not as good as the N1 block for a start ,also the 28 rpms so well and will last a lot longer as the 30 crank does not like to see more than 7500rpm for to long ,yes if it was a drag engine i would do a 30 or rb34 but this is a road race motor that will see 8000rpm or more .i dont mind building any RB combo but its what the bloke wonts ,the 30 and bigger do make more torque but as a race engine there not as nice as the 26 -28
-
tony to make 400 hp with a 2 valve head that flows 230 cfm at 28in is not posible at a pinch it will make 103 hp per L so at 3L it will make 309hp so were do you get the extra 91 im not saying the rebelo engine is crap its a good thing but it does not make 133 hp pr L its not posible to make that with a 45dcoe and a head that flows like they do the rebelo we tested made the exact hp we do with the same combo so

well its most defenetly difrent as it has a difrent calabrasion ur hp reads higher every time we get a race moter with a hp clamed we test it very down on its clamed hp -
hear is my road and road race e88 230cfm 155exh cnc port so it the same every time this head is as good as it gets on a rally carthis engine made 10hp more than the rebelo 3L we tested
-
well i have done the test and there head is 225 230 cfm so it can not make the power the valve is the restriction there stuck like me 44 46 mm valve dont flow any more air
-
heheh tony your figers are out of control your best l28 na is over 400hp and when its in oz it makes 290hp engine and 240 at the wheels the NA engine in the pic is a 13.5 comp race motor and makes 330hp eng and smashes the rebelo race engine that is over 400hp in the US the turbo engine will mach any you have in the US
-
like i said tony 45 carbs and 230cfm make 330hp at a pinch 336 engine and thats all it can make there is no more air ...and if you look at rebelos torque fig its more per L than a nascar there figers dont ad up austrailia has a diffrent hp rating than the US so we have a hard time with ur figgers
-
well you would not bring 1 over hear as there not as cool as us heheh but it will cost you about 1500 us to get one
-
i love the LS coils and i make a disy with rb 30 crank sencer and run a haltec or motec and have now problem with spark i run E85 fuel with 28psi well over 600hp at the wheels

yes tony but your hp rating is very difrent to ours we teased a 400hp rebelo last week and it made 290hp on our dyno not in the same ball park as our race motors your a long way behind us aus zed boys lol heheh and i used the 26 head to get 6 itb manifold and i had one that has been worked over flows 312cfm at 28in intake and i had some cams made with 312deg and 13mm lift
