  3. This is where that vent comes from... Of course the vents I have came from one in the wrecking yard (1980 Camaro). Dragonfly
  4. I have seen a few of the cars on here using the same vents that I am using on my Z but I have not seen anyone else blend the vent into the fender. Here is a picture of mine blended in. Ignore the hood as it is an old beat up hood that I could not even give away so I decided to use it for setting my spray pattern for paint. Dragonfly

  8. I have never personaly driven one but I have looked them over in the wrecking yard, I am not suprised that they over heat as the radiator is in the front and the engine is in the rear and there is only a one and a half inch pipe that carries the coolant between them. My car does not have any over heating problems but I use the two speed fan with a three position switch (on, off, on) were up has the low speed side activated by a temp switch, middle position is off and down manualy turns on the high speed side of the fan. 10. I did not want to hyjack this thread http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=113189 so I started a new one here. Here are the pictures I took of the Fiero 2 speed fan and aluminum radiator. The radiator itself may be to thin for some of you guys who have overheating issues (the core is only 1" thick) but it keeps my 3.0 stroker at 180 degrees in the SoCal summer. Dragonfly

  17. That looks very similar to what I have but mine is a two speed Fiero fan and the Fiero aluminum radiator with the plastic tanks. The primary differance between the picture you have and the Fiero setup I have is that the shroud on mine covers the entire radiator and the mounting tabs on the shroud line up with pre-drilled holes on the "lip" of the radiator (top and bottom) which has one of those "clip" type nuts that fasten over the hole and allows the shroud to be bolted to the radiator. Right now my car is fully disassembled and getting ready for a paint job etc. so I have the whole thing out of the car and if I get a chance tommorow I will take some pictures of it like the pictures above. 19. Since my engine is out of the car right now I went out and took a few pictures of the Moroso "electric water pump" that I use. It took a few modifications (it's made for a big block V8) but at $79 it was well worth it to me and it works just fine. Dragonfly

  23. That thing looks sweet... it's amazing how much smaller that v8 apears to be compared to the v6 that came stock. Dragonfly
  24. Jon you are correct in saying that just because everyone else uses it doesn't make it good (not a quote, only my interpitation), that goes for anything. I have used in my car a custom ground cam by Crower, reground stock cam, and this Schnieder that is in it now, I have not had any problems with any of them, I just move up in agressiveness in small steps. Any way back to the point, I am sure that you are right about them only having our cams because Motorsport has a contract of some sort with them and they probably would not even make a cam for L series engines otherwise. Now that I am thinking more about it my mind is sending me off on a tangent here. When I was younger Schnieder and Lunati were the cams to have but these things were always built for pushrod engines, it could stand to reason that the metallurgy from pushrod to overhead would be different and maybe they never saw any need to change what has always worked for them. I am defending them because I have that cam and have not had a problem with it... but if I do have any problems I can assure you I would find out if it were a problem with the cam or something else then I would let everyone know.
