  1. Here's some shots of the last setup i did. Low side cold pipe, half for clearance, half to show off the 4" Aluminum cold air that runs next to it feeding the turbo. Hope it helps.
  2. inaccurate, depends on the holset used. the Hy35w's with 90 degree elbows pre-cast into the compressor housing fit without the use of a spacer when clocked right. grind off the stock wastegate actuator flange, the clock it so that the 90 degree elbow is either very close to the intake manifold, or very close to the frame rail. it will fit.
  3. i distribute garrett turbos, i also can sell them with the new Tial stainless backside housings... got a few other fun parts in the works too, but keeping those under wraps till they finish there testing.
  4. to an L block? Link? last i heard Warren was the only one with a line on that, and the repeated PM's i've sent about getting my own set of parts to make it possible have gone unanswered.
  5. where in texas are you from...?

  6. you missed the part about the unknown camshaft, no porting to either casting, but the bump stick is definately not the stock one... the power profile of the motor says loads about that. MSnS v2.2, 029q2 file set, MSD 6A and blaster 2 coil, nothing fancy. Somthing must be goofy with your wastegate, or your location is bad where its venting from on the manifold. The car dyno'd here did all of it's runs on a Tial 38mm and did just fine. There is another Z we built running around Houston at 22psi steady if i recall on a HY35w who is running a 38mm Tial as well. Got photos of your location? on an HY35w? the amount of boost put through a motor is irrelivant if you don't take into consideration the size of the turbo. Thats like saying that you'll make 400 @ 20 on a Hy35 and 400 @ 20 on a GT4294R. Totally different animals. Sure will, the transmission... Car won't go to the track until we get a Z32 trans put in it. We don't want to take that thing out there only to have it put out some stupid high mph with a crap E/T. We'd rather have our cake, and eat it too. Then again, i've always wanted to run one of these motors with an automatic... if only i could get a TH350 or 400 bolted up to the damn thing.
  7. Best results would be seen with port matching to the head as well yes. However we will be dry bolting it without massaging the head to mearly prove that it makes power over the stock design immediately with no other changes. Obviously even bigger gains would be seen with porting to match and all that, but were seeking mearly to prove in a pure bolt on scenario that it's better even then. We'll save the porting/crazy head work for a different Z.
  8. p90a head compression is assumed to be somewhere in the 8.0:1 territory. motors been together since 92' if i remember right (customer car i did the turbo system on, but i didn't build the motor) next up for the motor is a prototype intake manifold, then back to the dyno to see how much power it picks up with just that upgrade. transmission is a stock 78' 5 speed IIRC, though it's due to be replaced with a Z32 5spd.
  9. Stock N42 intake manifold Stock ZXT exhaust manifold converted to external gate Holset HY35w 93 octane pump gas MSnS v2.2 on 029q2 Through a full 3" mufflered exhaust No meth, alchohol, nitrous, or race fuel...
  10. 93 octane stock manifolds HY35w MSnS v2.2 on 029q2 power measured at the rear wheels.
  11. i'll make a more structured and data filled post later on tonight, but i'm curious if anyones broken 400rwhp with an HY35 powered L series yet... anyone?
  12. i'm currently digging through a guys car that had a RB25DET stuffed in it by some shop, nothings following any factory colors, lots of shady work on the wiring. currently i'm chasing a ignition miss from a bad coil pack, but i can't identify if it's series 1 or series 2 stuff since none of the wiring is anything close to FSM in color or routing. if someone could post up a p/n for series 1 and series 2 packs, or a way to identify them, i'd appreciate it... trying to source some replacements and can't accurately identify stuff to know what i'm dealing with.
  13. and here i am in the middle of finishing up a long tubes and true dual 2.5" system for a G35 running 4 hand built bullet style mufflers... not giving me much hope that the sounds they make are going to be remotely civil...
  14. sending you a PM can you shoot me a photo of the parts to make sure we are on the same page?
  15. preferably the kind that will clip in via a circlip. not sure which year they specifically came on. probally a ZX. this isn't for a CV conversion, still running u-joint axles, just need the inboard stub axles that pop into the diff of the R200. price shipped to Houston, Tx 77070
