  1. Well, This year has been a hard one for me. I am almost home. I should be home in about a month or so. I'm glad to be leaving 2010. Recap for those that are interested, I deployed to Afghanistan in February, In June my mom was murdered, and then in September my wife left me. But I will be able to work on my Z as soon as I return home. It has been on my mind a lot. So much to do and am excited about starting.
  2. Mine is patiently awaiting my return so I can actually start doing something with her. So far all I have done is throw some new rims and tires on her.
  3. Damn, She is looking soooo much better. I cant wait to get back and start working on mine.
  4. Its funny. I learned how to drift in a 82 280zx na back in the 90s when drifting hadn't become popular yet. Used to scare the crap out of my friends drifting through the industrial areas of Houston. I stuck with it even today for fun. I'm building my sixth Z, (4th s30) to just be a fun car. And drifting just happens to be fun. I don't care what anybody says, S30's drift just fine. As with any car that isn't purpose built, you just have to learn how to do it in that car! Ive been doing it for years. My first 240 was awesome at drifting once I figured it out. Its all a learnig game! So get out there and learn. Not on the streets though. There are drift events all over the country. Find one and They usually have sessions where you can learn.
  5. Me too. I have the same issue. Ive been trying to add a picture for over a month. Its very frustrating.
  6. Just threw my rims and tires on while I was home on emergency leave. I had to do something to take my mind off of reality for a min.
  7. Thanks for the concern guys. And to update, My tires should arrive at the house today. I also just had the wife order 2 sets of camber plates from TTT today. Next payday will be the coilovers.
  8. That I think is the hardest thing for me is to be patient. I just received my rims, and my wife just ordered my tires the other day. We have decided that every payday from here on out, I can order whatever I need (within reason) until my deployment is over. She questioned me yesterday with "why are you ordering all this stuff when you don't have an engine? Shouldn't that be the first thing you get?" I replied with, "Normally, yes. But unfortunately, You cant do that for me. I mean really. Could you see yourself in a junkyard pulling what I want?" She laughs. Approximately I have seven more months to go. Then its on.
  9. Just a little update, I should have my new rims at the house by the end of the day. I bought the Black RB-R's in 16x8. I also bought a set of black lugnuts. I should have tires bye the end of this month. Up next, well, I have no idea. I am trading my fuel door that has the knob with a latter one that(in my opinion) is cleaner. I'm thinking that my next purchase will either be a new lowering spring and strut/shock set or a coilover set. Big difference in performance and price. Still debating though.Like I said it was going to be a slow one.
  10. Thanks to all that replied. Hopefully this trade works out with theguppies.
  11. Thank you to all that replied to my request. Hopefully this trade works out with theguppies.
  12. I am wanting to change out my 71 fuel door(The one with the stupid turn knob) to the cleaner looking fuel door used on the (I think) later 71-78 S-30.
  13. OK, I do agree sir. Sometimes I just feel the need to somewhat defend people that I don't know. I do my best to research, But even I have made some post that I could of researched more. Sometimes it is just easier to ask. Like now. I have to give up most of my free time to look for something when in all reality, I really don't get much free time due to this crappy war. All will be figured out eventually. I will rest. Thanks again. I say good day.
  14. You are correct sir. I along with Kurai am in Afghanistan, So being able to go crawl under our cars is a luxury that we just don't have. When I get back to the states, I plan on spending as much time in and under my Z as realistically possible. In the mean time pictures will have to suffice. Again, I will apologize for my ignorance in trying to obtain a visual reference.
  15. I too agree with having pictures showing what people are talking about. I was wondering about a few things mentioned as well. Now that I have seen some pictures, I fully understand. 98% of us ask because we really have no idea. I understand that some (2%) probably get aggravated when we ask for something so trivial, But its not to piss anybody off. Its usually because we seek the knowledge of the professional. So, thanks for the vast know how and sharing it with us common folk that seek automotive racing genius.
  16. So, I have a question. It states that it is to be used with a low rise intake, But what about if I wanted to run Fuel Injection(Factory style)? I may give up my dreams for the 4.6 swap if this allows for the fuel injection system..
  17. Thank to all that gave a little of there time to this. Its great to see just who out there besides us( on this forum) are interested in z's. It means allot to me.
  18. I wonder how big this will get? More the better.

  20. Honestly, I have no idea if it would work, Id imagine with enough money, anything is possible. But with saying that, Personally, I think it would be taking away from the sexy lines of the z. But that in itself is in the eye of the beholder. Im doing a ford v8 swap to mine when I get back. But there is no way I would want to change the body. Good luck.
