  1. I am sure it could be done given enough determination and money, my question would be why?

  3. My vents are from an 80 or 81 camaro. But no one can use this idea within 500 miles of me.
  4. Kevin, The wheels are the 4 lug with the Honda bolt pattern using 3/4" spacers. The wheel are American Racing spyders 15X7. I have seen them at Pep Boys for around $100 ea. I bought the fender vents on ebay and they came with the inner metal bracket and the plastic spacer thing. The fender vents are just for show, they will only be venting the wheel well. I might seal up the opening if the water coming through the hole gets to be a pain. I also bought some later model Trans am fender vents but I didn't think the curve matched the wheel opening curve without some modification so they are sitting on a shelf right now. I'd like to see what every one else has in mind for their fenders too.
  5. I am using a little later version of the Z28 fender vents. Here is a trial fit photo. http://zdriver.com/rides/spec/pix/280zone_1036199557.jpg
  6. Looks like a nice car but it needs to be lowered a bit. IMHO
  7. I removed my bumper shocks so I could enjoy the reduction in weight. Here is my car during the welding process. I am doing a 75 and they have the most holes and indents to fill. If I were to do it again I'd cut the rear panel out and weld in a new one with no holes or indents. http://zdriver.com/rides/spec/pix/280zone_1025393754.jpg
  8. And to think I didn't jump on that deal because it was only 1200 miles from me! Zvette must have a bit more determination than I do..
  9. Darn it! The part about the finders fee didn't show up in my original message. zvette, congrats, looks like a great score. For shipping I would rent a car dolly from uhaul and go get it. Don't forget, he says the front and rear tubs are not attached to the car so you might have to get creative.

  11. not mine though http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/2/6/34417826.htm
  12. I have no problem with a couple of bumps, but he is posting in the wrong forum and he is posting the same thing over and over again on other Z sites, also in the wrong forums. Just my $.02
  13. True, I am patiently waiting for the price on those to come down. I have several ideas brewing.
  14. Hey TempeZ, I hope you don't mind but I already stole your idea. I used the stock 280 lights and put in strips of LED's. I couldn't bring myself to do it to the Euro tailights I have though. BTW have you heard about www.DesertZAssociation.com
  15. JEESH! This guy is obnoxious!
  16. I have these that are 15X7 or 8 and are loaded with Michelin Sport XGT 205X60X15's http://pic3.picturetrail.com/VOL21/90624/673863/7696284.ptp If you are interested.
  17. Right now I am calling it a yard ornament. I hope it actually becomes a car someday. Did you build a hardtop or a convertible?
  18. I purchased the front Alpha portion of Brian Wheatons car after it had been hit. http://www.kitcarz.com/bw-gallery.htm Then I bought the rear Velo Rossa tub from VREngineering before they closed their doors. I have always been a fan of the Velo Rossa conversion and couldn't resist the opportunity to pick up the major pieces. I am still completing my 75 for daily driving but once that car is "done" the the Velo/Alpha conversion will begin.
  19. Hey Theo, while you are building can you take a lot of pictures? I also bought the kit before they closed the doors but not quite ready to start yet. The photos is the book are a little hard to decipher so any clearer pictures would be greatly appreciated. I plan on doing the hard top version so I am not to concerned about roof removal or extra frame supports. If you can email me all the digital pictures you can take to 280Zone@cox.net Thanks and good luck
  20. Blue is correct, i have seen this car in person and it is sheet metal (possibly aluminum) riveted in place.
  21. I talked with the ex-ownwer of VR Engineering today. He told me they are finalizing their selection of the buyer, as soon as that is completed he will be able to let me know who what when where and how.
  22. I am looking to buy a Tomahawk dash made by Rory Bateman? I have seen a post here awhile back but can't seem to find it now. If you have one for sale please email me at 280Zone@cox.net
  23. I don't think those are the same ones. I don't think Motorsports are that wide, I think the pictured ones are custom.
  24. There was a post awhile back asking the same question, the consensus was that they are rare and not easy to come by.
