  1. For something with 150k on it and he doesn't know if it runs or not, I'd probably offer $200. I picked up a complete "running" L28ET w/ BW T5 for $250. It didn't come with the ECU or wiring but came with everything else.

  2. I have run Falken Azenis on my past few cars after Yokohama stopped making the AVS Intermediates. I loved the Azenis on my 350Z. I went through a few sets and a few track events. Azenis are what I'm going to be running on my 240Z.

I had an Integra GSR before with Azenis and switched temporarily to Yokohama ES100's...those were definitely inferior to the Azenis in every condition except rain which is not the Azenis strong suit.

I got caught in about .5"-1" of snow in my 350Z with Azenis...the car was basically completely useless with the rear constantly wanting to be in front. Also, the Azenis dont like temps under 40 degrees.

  3. Wow, his car is beautiful. I haven't seen it in person but my friend Ryan has told me that it sounds incredible up close. Does he still go to meets or hangout at any local car spots?

I'd like to know more about his R32 GTR front brake setup and his front struts from an R31 Skyline. What is the advantage to using the struts from an R31, and do they use the same or similar hubs as a S30?

I wish he'd update his website more often or at least with a list of current parts he has for sale or can get.

  4. This thread amuses me, it also made me realize I am probably the only person on this message board that listens to what I do. Its probably not your cup of tea. I imagine not many of you listen to hip-hop either? I'm 28 but I've listened to electronic music since I was 14/15yrs old after I heard a Ministry album and fell in love with industrial. I haven't listened to almost any "rock" music since then...I still love speed metal though.

I listen to dubstep which is slowed down, distorted and filtered drum & bass / jamaican dub music.

  5. I'm looking for a passenger side CV axle from a '82-'83 280ZX turbo(the longer one). If you have a set I'll consider buying them. I'm not worried about the boots if the CV's seem to be in good shape and the price is right.

Send me a PM or reply here....thanks!

  6. I owned a 2003 Infiniti G35 MT6 sedan for about 3 years, it was an oil consumer though. I really liked the car; around town it was peppy, out on the hiway it was a nice quiet smooth ride, it handled well in the curves also.

As it approached 100K miles I really started considering the oil issue and traded the car off as I didn't want a 3000lb paperweight in my driveway.

I'm surprised you had oil consumption issues. I had an '03 350Z for 5 years and didn't notice any abnormal oil consumption. I know some of the '05-'06 350Z's had a noticeable problem with that...but I didn't think the earlier VQ's did.

  7. This is a late reply but I just saw this thread. I trimmed my strut insulator for the rear as I won't be running camber plates in the rear (only the front).

This is what Ross/Modern Motorsports said in his installation instructions email when I purchased mine from him in regards to trimming that piece and what you use for a bearing:

"2)black washers - 1/4" thick aluminum top perch sits on top of the spring, then anywhere from 1-3 black flat washers sit on top of that silver upper spring perch, the black washers then bear onto the OEM top strut mount.........you can trim that black rubber lip on the strut mount so you only need 1 or 2 washers if you like...(often some metal needs to be trimed to get down to using only one washer, .the more you trim it the more suspension travel you have available. You DO have to use one washer at a minimum for proper safety/bearing so keep that in mind. In the front this washer bears on the isolator right beneath the bearing within the OEM strut top. In the rear this black washer sits against the rubber isolator (no bearing in the rear OEM top)."

I imagine instead of using washers you could buy some needle bearings somewhere from a circle-track racing site or something. Anyone have any reason that would be a bad idea?

  8. I know I am bumping an old thread but I have a relevant question. I bought a CSR electric water pump for my L28ET and I bought it from someone else who had never used it.

I need to get a shorter belt for my alternator as that is the only thing I will be driving off of the crank. Does anyone know what size/length belt I need and/or have a part# for a belt that fits? Thanks.

  9. I had the same problem. I ended up just ordering mine from Courtesy Nissan after trying numerous parts places and numerous non Nissan parts.

Edit: the part# I ordered for my 280ZXT R200 which may be different is Nissan # 38342-N3100
