I see this is an old ad that has been bumped back up. Is the car still for sale, and if so, how much is it now? I see where you said you were a motivated seller. Thanks

Yea I Googled the Phantom Grip like RB26' said. I think you are right johnc. Junk. I just read about 11 pages on the OBX carrier about taking it apart and reversing the helical gears (if needed) and redoing the bolts and washers. They are about $435 on Ebay now. The Quaife is $1209 and the OS Giken in $1700 on Ebay Anyone know a cheaper place to get the Quaife?. Thanks

Customized Z on e-bay

Hoov100 made some good (and funny) points. The more I look at it the more it looks like the car from Corvette Summer. -

I agree with some of the comments. Too many hood louvers--should've started with a non-louvered hood and moved them toward the back of the hood some (maybe put a satin black or carbon fiber hood on it). Not crazy about sunroofs but i haven't seen a 'his-n-hers' in many years. I just noticed he painted the window rubber--(maybe you could go along the edge with a razor blade and put new rubbers in it without messing up the paint). Not crazy about the red on the seats and i usually don't like the MSA bumper covers but it seems to go well with the custom side skirts and the little rear quarter skirts (i really don't like the MSA rear covers that have the rear skirt). Kinda like the flat wheels (no dish) on this one also. I may go and check it out...it's close to my house. -

Some of the window trim is red and some of it is black or missing. It also looks like the z logo has been painted over on the pass side but not the drivers. There are a couple things I don't like but overall it looks pretty good with some nice custom touches. Opinions??

Can you post a link to it or is it on DVD? I'd like to see it too. -
HybridZ turbo engine raffled off?

So Braap, Did you build the engine specifically for a turbo application w/dishtops or did you use flattops? The reason I ask is that the cam seems kind of big for a turbo application. Also is everything else listed correctly other than the 4-angle valve job? -

He told me he was gonna post the serial #'s from the motor on the original raffle thread or either on this thread so we can match them up. Maybe he's gonna take pics of the serial#? I don't know. I think maybe the guy that won it in the race painted on it? Not sure though. -
Does anyone know about this or is he delusional? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1973-Datsun-240Z-Turbo-Very-Fast-Ready-to-Drive_W0QQitemZ280481321015QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item414dfd5037

Hi Kris. You can also take the plugs out and look in the hole with a pen-light and find one close to the top to see if they're flat-tops or dished. I've done that before.

i don't know the quality of the e-bay ones (probably not very good, but they do have a good rating with a 7-day return policy) but they are $100 for all 4 and free shipping.
-
i found these on e-bay. it says they are universal but it shows some pics of them on a 240z. it ends 2-12-10. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180420332327&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

anybody know what flywheel this is?
dirty white boy replied to dirty white boy's topic in Drivetrain
so everyone is pretty sure it's a fidanza? here is the back side of it. i couldn't get the pic to load before. i can get it pretty cheap but i don't know if it needs resurfacing. what's the average price to get it resurfaced and balanced with the pressure-plate? -
he says it's a turbo L-6 flywheel and he thinks it aftermarket. there is a 273 a 2 stamped on the back side.

frankie williams from z performance racing
dirty white boy replied to a topic in 6 Cylinder Z Forums
i just happened upon this thread and i had talked to him a couple years back about building a turbo motor for me. i was gonna furnish the stock turbo motor and he was gonna use his custom fuel rail and exhaust manifold (he said this was his secret for power along with a custom port job). i was gonna take the car to him and he was gonna do all the work as well as put it in the car and get it running for somewhere around $5k. maybe it's a good thing i decided against it. here is a video of his car. it is VERY fast. i'd say he did his right though. -

dirty white boy posted a topic in Turbo / Supercharger

R180 Axel geometry and stregth with LSD
dirty white boy replied to rudypoochris's topic in Drivetrain
are all r-200's 4-pinion or could it be either? -
i was thinking of using a 72-74 4-speed in my 73 with a 3:36 diff which now has a zx 5-speed instead of swapping the rear gear (3:90 r-200) as i'm about to drop in a f-54/p-79 flat top motor in the car and i'm gonna pull the trans with it anyway. the gear ratio's match up pretty close through all the gears with the 4-speed/3:36 and the late 5-speed/3:90 except for the OD which is 2:92 with the 3:90 (i think). is the zx 5-speed stronger than the 4-speed?
