  1. yes, all that is off a 85 300zx with four lug pattern. The calipers are virtually identical to the 280zx. With this setup I can easily swap to the larger z32 calipers without any brackets and such. Read this http://z31.com/brake.mods.shtml
  2. Ok, heres a few photos I shot real quick. I can take better ones when I change the ball joints on wednsday.
  3. bleech, the s130 struts are won't fit, they are about an inch too tall. Not sure about the springs. The only drawback is that this setup will give a slight positive camber at stock height. Its barely noticable, but I can see it. I'm pretty sure with lowering springs it will balance out.
  4. I'll get some pics later today. I'm still using my stock s130 springs so the ride height is the same. Basically, I used the s130 springs, z31 strut assembly, z31 steering knuckles, and z31 calipers/brake hoses. It all bolts up, just needed to re adjust the tie rod.
  5. I switched to z31 brakes upfront except I used the whole z31 strut assembly. I didn't find much improvement over the 280zx brakes but I plan to upgrade to z32 calipers down the line which will now bolt right up.
  6. this is out of my 81 fsm (which uses a e12-80. http://home.earthlink.net/~kpealer/zcar/images/ignition_test_1.jpg http://home.earthlink.net/~kpealer/zcar/images/ignition_test_2.jpg Hopefully that can help you out.
  7. Right now i'm running a f54 flattop/N47 combo and I use a .45 gap for my plugs. I've tried going bigger but it tends to miss at higher rpms. Stock ignition btw.
  8. cool, glad it worked for you. Hopefully it does solve your vapor lock problems, it did for me. What kind of fuel rail are you using? Maybe you should look into shielding it as well.
  9. I thought the o2 sensor only worked under part throttle.... I don't think it would accurate to read its out put under full throttle Maybe i'm wrong though...someone school me....
  10. actually, it activates the fan cycle....and turns itself off after fifteen minutes. I've been doing this since winter, no problems. You must have another drain on your battery.
  11. simply ground the wire sensor wire for the injector fan and it will come on everytime you turn the car off, regarless of what temp it is. I believe the wire is green up at the thermostat. Just find a close bolt to ground on. I've been having the same problems as you and this helped a lot.
  12. The fan cycles for 15 minutes (give or take) and automatically turns off. It basically thinks that it hits that certain "temp" to turn it on every time.
  13. an easier method would be to ground out the green wire going to the thermostat housing that controls the injector fan. This makes the fan cycle on everytime you shut the car off.
  14. yea, thats probably what its for. The car wouldn't run if it was the coolant temp sensor.
  15. Any of you mess around with Toluene with your high comp/boost motors? I've gotten pretty good results with it on my 10:1 motor.
  16. try http://clubplug.net they have every ngk plug available.
  17. heres a miata console in a zx. Just need a nice black leather shift boot.
  18. yea keep it. Won't do anything but help...
  19. with my csv disconnected my z wouldn't start at all in 40 degree weather. But i have higher compression, maybe that makes a difference?
  20. seafoam worked great for me. I bought it at Napa.
  21. Used to run 16x12 on my zx. Just to see if they fit though...don't use em anymore since the backs stick out too much... . Didn't rub though.
  22. 120k? thats right around the sweet spot for an L series motor..LOL provided it hasen't been too trashed. I have about 10:1 compression on my motor with 235k. No probs yet...
