  1. I haven't picked it up yet & I really am in no hurry. I know when I get there, I will ask myself why did I buy it. I was hoping that the floor pans and frame rails are not gone. If they are, anybody need a wing? All that crap about pre production sounded like a friend tyring to pump up the auction. I knew it was bag, I thought I was gonna get it for $99. Anybody see anything redeeming about it at all ? That Z with the 240SX looks good, but its not for me. I need a original dash, I am trying to keep my 75. kinda stock. I have the original chrome ring headlight covers, original three piece IMSA rear spoiler, original bumpers, new mesh grill, new fender mirrors, new amber tailights, etc. I am building a 3.1 with triple Webers, I have everything but the pistons. I have talked to Chet @ Sunbelt ( I drive by their shop everyday) about doing the machine work and balancing. I appreciate the info everybody
  2. "i'm pretty sure it's a 2.8, since they call it a fairlady280ZX, and not just a fairlday Z" __________________ Jason King 6/72 240Z / HLS30 89646 (Yellow) I am not sure the rear badge is correct. The fenders say "Fairlady Z" I read somewhere that the JDM S130's received either a 2.0 or 2.8. It is probably not even the original engine. It looks like someone has played with the F.I? The guy said somebody slid it into a curb. Who really knows? They had to have been hauling ass.
  3. It will be probably be rusted beyond repair, who knows for $200 I can get my money back out the parts , I hope. Does anybody have a clue about the engine?
  4. Will they do RHD? Any idea how much? How is the quality? Anybody used them?
  5. I bought a dash from England for $130, $500 for shipping. It showed up cracked as hell. $630 dollars later I have two cracked RHD dashes. I have been looking for two years.......very discouraging. Does anybody know if the JDM 280zx has the "Datsun 280zx" rear badge. I know my 75 does not say Datsun anywhere http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x152/govsurplustrader/280ZX/P5040008.jpg The fenders have "Fairlady 280z" http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x152/govsurplustrader/280ZX/P5040004.jpg
  6. I don't know what I'm gonna do with it. I am so overwhelmed with getting my 75 Fairlady Z going. I will have to wait and see how bad the rust is. If the pans and rails are OK, I may get it going. I don't think the dash will be as hard to find as my 75. I found a running 280ZX turbo that is pretty straight for $700 that I could swap parts. Anybody have a clue what engine it has? 2.0 ? 2.8 N47?
  7. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=005&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=150149263711&rd=1 I just bought a 78 Fairlady Z for $201.99. I really don't have the time for it right now, I am restoring my 75 Fairlady Z that I have owned since 1982. I don't know if it is a 2.0 or 2.8. anybody have any comments? It's rough and will probably be rougher in person. Thanks, Arnie
