  1. I have found car test 2000 to be a whole heap of fun for trying gear ratios and compareing them with other cars Mike
  2. Mike Thinking about it, fabricating a bracket and just running an alternator is not a bad idea, I'm going to look into that too.
  3. Hey Tim That looks realy neat, I might have to do the same thing, but firt I will check out the cost of a corvette conversion. Mike (there ate a lot of Mikes) I'm reading between the lines, but I guess the corvette set up retains the smog pump, AC and power steering, and that they are the same physical units as the camero ? Is it just the brackets and belt that change ? Mike
  4. So the engine fit's ! and now that it has sat on it mounts, I can't avoid my next head ache. The engine is a 95 Camero LT1 and it came with power seering and AC and a tone of emission stuff. I have already had to take the AC off to get the engine in, and I don't need the power steering so I'm looking for suggestions on getting a new serpentine belt setup. I have yet to look carefuly but I assume that the hot rod crowd have solved this already for this engine ? Who has a finished 95 Camero swap under their belt ? Mike
  5. Aww Guys, Don't make it so difficult, I had just finaly decided for the 10th time, double dare, no going back that I would just go with off the shelf cast iron . Where did you get your headders Dan ? you appear to be very happy with them. I think I still like the cast iron approach, but only if they realy are quieter. Mike
  6. Thanks for the info, I like the finshed look Dan. I just got my engine in for the first time last night. Boy it realy sits sung in the back of the engine bay. Mike
  7. Scott, Tim The MSD pump looks like a nice tidy package, I guess your sure at this point it flows enough fuel ? I'm just conserend the that the output pipe is smaller than the pipe on the LT1 when it was in the camero. Mike
  8. Thanks for the info. I went looking for fittings and tube today. The lines I have on the engine are plastic one is about 11/32 inside dia and the other 7/32 maybe. The problem is that they have been cut and end in a strange fitting on the engine that I don't think can be taken apart. (it's a camero LT1 by the way) Any ideas on hooking everything up becides getting neon blue aftermarket fuel rail connections ? I'm attemting to use standard parts and fittings from GM and auto parts stores, nothing too fancy so that the engine looks like it came with the car. Mike
  9. Hi Can anyone suggest an external fuel pump/regulator for a 95 LT1 conversion in a 240z ? I plan on putting a larger line in as the feed and using the 5/16 line as a return. The search function turned up a Walbro pump, but their web site did not recognise the part number. Thanks Mike
  10. Hi I was wondering what kind of suspension does so well in a Z in SCCA competition ? Did you go with the coil over swap, which wheel/tire combination did you run ? Thanks Mike
