  1. okay there is a block of connectors on the passenger side under the glove box. I found the two black /yellow wires go to blue connector on that block. I have yet to trace that via my wiring diagram, but do you guys have any ideas in the meantime? /-------------- | 0 B B | 0 0 | | 0 0 0 | 0 0 | |_0_0_0|____| this is my representation of the connector. 0 indicates other wires and the the two black/yellow are indicated as B.first from the left is the spliced one the second one is the female connector one.
  2. Yeah, that is why I am going through everything. I have a no start condition because of multiple reasons, this one possibly being one of them. I haven't tried starting since my recent engine wiring overhaul and fuel line overhaul. Mainly I need help with finding this wire while my dash is out. thanks!
  3. I have a 1976 280Z, I am trying to get this car running and I wanted to go through the dash harness and clean up and apply dielectric grease to the connectors. While i was working on this i stumbled into a cut or torn wire which I could not figure out where it routes to. It is black with a yellow stripe and there is another of the same exact color right next to it with a female connector which is oem attached to it. It is at the end of the harness near where the ignition plugs into it. got any ideas of what it could be? thanks, Randy
  4. This guys got skills! The Interior is really nice all of it must have taken lots of research and patience!
  5. Thats where I got the Idea from and that tib is sweet!
  6. anyone thought of this yet? Getting 2 fwd engines and tranny setups and fabbing and droppin them in would be sweet. 2 mazda KLZE jdm V6s would be wild, AWD and pretty balanced!!! Of course this would take lots of fabbing and expertise but it would be an amazing project!

  8. well Its only $20 for a used one so it wouldn't really set me back much. The fuel pump won't solve my problem it will only help me figure out my problem. Plus, I plan on testing the pump before I buy it. I will take advantage of the 30 day return policy so make sure this pump will hold up until I get my wiring straighten out.
  9. Nice, Ill look around for those vehicles if i cant find a Z. I just need this pump to get the Z started and once that happens I will buy a new one and many other new parts.
  10. At this time I am on a low budget and I need to get my 76 EFI 280Z running. I plan on going to a junkyard and finding a good fuel pump. I know I can choose (besides an S30 fuel pump) a 280ZX '79-'83 fuel pump but are there any other cars I can pull an external Electric fuel pump out of that will work on my Z. In the future I would like to change the fuel tank to an internal fuel pump setup. Is there any setups from other vehicles that will fit without too much modifications? I did search on here but yielded no results on this so if anyone can give me some helpful advice I would certainly appreciate it. thanks!
  11. nice ill surely look into that! Ill have some time before i put them in though
  12. the fuel pump wiring goes to the fuel injection relay located under the dash on the drivers side you will notice a unit that has 2 square plugs plugged into it.
  13. ahhh no way man lol, I am trying to restore mine and I need everything i can get my hands on. Ill post later but its not pretty now all the interior is ripped out (almost) and It is pretty rusty for now. The rust is not insane its just some on the floor pan from the leaking seals.
  14. got it yesterday, yeah it needs cleaning and has a couple small blemishes but hey for 25 bucks you cant beat that! Do you guys have any ideas of what to clean these with. I used cleaner wipes but it didn't really work out the best, when it dries i still see a mild amount of gunk on it.
  15. is there a recommended Junkyard in northern California that specializes in Zs?
  16. My Dream is to get a DOHC supercharged mustang cobra engine and drop it in. I understand that the bowtie V8 would mount perfect but the DOHC S/C'd 4.6 would be an awesome high revving experience not to mention rare.
