No room for cooling fan... Idea?

your best bet with a puller will be the flex a lite fans that are usually ran on honda apps. http://www.streetperformance.com/part/flex-a-lite/fan-electric/46482-125.html good luck! -
phil.. ur a riot ! Tecate is another good cheap mexican beer (usually a 6 pk for $5 ish) . the weather is bO-nit-A ..not bonit-O. hace muy calor . (it's effn hot here in TX )

i think up the page here , the vendor was talking about searching for another mfgr to make these particular vents.

swab the inside @ the bottom of the case that holds the evaporator. if nice and clean , not greasy and grimy prob not any leaks inside .
-
nice z buddy! what part of town are you in ? i m in s/w .

arif. your evap system looks complete w/ the exp valve. from the pics it looks nice and clean.. but one ck you may want to do is swab the bottom of the plastic housing to ck for oily residue that would show signs of a leak @ one point in time. if clean , i would say it is good to go, .. the hose that is missing on your fire wall is the one that runs off of the dryer unit. , not a big deal , you can get those lines made custom.. I don't know if you have a 4 seasons radiator retail shop there in san antone, but they made my lines here in h-town. the blower has an upgrade option from the Honda civics , i think 84-92 .. you would have to shave a little bit off the blower housing to get the Honda's "squirrel cage " to fit in the housing hole. there is a write up on this upgrade here and @ z car . com if you need any parts, i have several good units (compressor, condenser , pusher fan for condenser ) let me know frank

arif... another hot one today eh ? is this car your daily driver ?? to take out the evap you do not need to remove the whole dash. it may be easier when re installing though .. there are some side arms that need to clip into position for the whole plastic housing that holds the evap unit. if i remember correctly there are 4 or 5 bolts (at each corner of the housing) that hold the unit to the firewall. be prepared for some nice knuckle and hand scratches ... lol.

yes, i can.. but i have my car @ the speed shop putting in the intercooler .. i ll put some pics up later this week when i get it back.. You will need to use that bracket to mount the compressor on the driver side in front of the block ... if i am not mistaken , big phil lives here in Texas and deals w/ the same heat and he runs an a/c unit on his boosted z as well. you may be able to ck his profile as he has documented his mods and posted his setups on youtube.

i run a/c in my 77 zt .. w/ no problems, i even took the condenser from the 81 turbo donor car and massaged it to fit the s30 chassis. my a/c gets cold.! i filled it w/ freeze 12 instead of r134 refrigerant. the trick is to change the Schroeder valves on the compressor.

2-Speed FORD TAURUS fan wiring dia. and part list
jyz77 replied to COZY Z COLE's topic in Gen I & II Chevy V8 Tech Board
the top one will work, as i used that on my 77 na setup. u will have to shave some of the plastic shroud to get it to mount on the stock radiator. the other piece i used for that set up was a thermo switch that was from a nissan pulsar or sentra that has a splice in the radiator hose that will turn your fan on @ 225ish degrees. -
^ ditto.. if no problem w/ ignition system next would be to put a fuel pressure guage inline before the fuel rail . ck your pressure @ idle and also w/ high rpms.
-
ditto ^ .. this unit will only fit the early z cars. works great , definatelly an improvement over stock d/p.

Yasin and Young I was @ 15 lbs , and i didn't run out of gas on the stockers.. the jwt allows you to run up to 250 is hp with the stock injectors . from my understanding on the results , i was running too rich @ 15 lbs. .. the dyno tech suggested that i check to see if using an adjustable fpr after the stock fpr to see if it would keep me from running so rich on 15 lbs.. does the make sense ? i do plan on moving up to the higher cc injectors, and it will require a reflash on the ecu.. however, I think i can tap more hp/ torque from this setup once i pop in my yasin custom intercooler. (thanks yasin ) ..

guys, i took the z to the dyno today , here are the #'s i put down. my set up is the Jwt z31 ecu / ford cobra maf on the stock injectors. I run a z31 watercooled turbo @ 11 ish lbs. a 240 sx throttle body w/ msa custom 2 1/2 d/p all the way back to borla pro x/s muffler. I don't run an intercooler yet, but that's my next step. my best run was @ 10 lbs. my question is ,, when i cranked the boost to 15 lbs, the engine took it, but based on the read out, i lost hp because the engine was running rich... would i stand to gain h/p if i kept running 15 lbs and put an adjustable fuel pressure regulator in line with the stock one ? also, any pointers to help me comprehend the information here as i am still learning all the turbo info. thanks.
