  1. If I were to have 600+ hp in my 240z what would I have to do to the chasis to keep it from twisting? or is it fine stock? I am planning to get a 383 with a supercharger and the crat 383s I have found push 465hp out of the box with only 9.1:1 comp ratio. also with that amout of hp how wide of tires do you guys think I will need to hook up?
  2. I myself used to be a rice rocket kid. I had an integra gsr and it was not fast but it would suprise some people. what I like about the hondas was a certain finese. being able to pull 170 hp out of a 110 cubic inch motor stock is pretty cool I think. I beat a friends 65 mustang that he had worked on quite a bit. I enjoyed just keeping up with a v8 when I only had an i4. I also liked being able to get 30 mpg and race when I felt so inclined. I considered getting a crx and doing an engine swap before I got my 240z. the crx weighs 1800lbs and with a good engine swap and turbo you can pull 400hp easily. it just depends on you point of view on the situation.
  3. Im in for the lighest weight fiberglass hood you can make. They have one in motorsport but I think you can do it cheaper. count me in.
  4. I want to make my Z a sleeper for street racing (no one will expect an old datsun to have a supercharged 383 under the hood.) So I want to put some P.O.S. restrictive quiet exhaust one it and have a cut out for when it comes time to race. Has anyone done this before? do you have pictures or any tips to help me on my way?
  5. where are pictures of Darius' Z so I can see where he mounted his? I dont have a motor as of yet so I am debating the TPI. If I go carbed I wont need an inter/aftercooler and there wont be electronics to mess with like there would be if I went TPI. but then again TPI will fit better and it seems to be more efficent.
  6. I just found a procharger that will fit...looks pretty good. its a turbine supercharger which I dont know much about but they say it can handle boost in the 20's. I looked at vortec's webpage and they dident seem to have one for a misc chevy 350 only specific ones. so I think the procharger is the way to go.
  7. I am going to swap a chevy 383 into my 240. I have been looking for a supercharger that will fit under the stock hood. I am trying to make this the ultimate sleeper. I have seen superchargers for TPI engines that look pretty low but if I dont have to go TPI then I dont want to. thanks.
