I was wanting to know if this seems hi to you all. I have a 71 Fairlady Z that I am having new lower quarter pannels (ends of the rocker pannel) put in. I am suppling the parts. They are going to do a little rust repair under the car. Patch a floor board and any other minor rut under there. I am brining them the car in bare metal condition (glass bead blasted)with new fenders doors and hood so there is no body work there. They want $6000.00 for the work. They do great work and only normally do hot rod custom stuff. The paint and body guy has many awards and has been in the paint side of it for 43 years. He said they will use only dupont products and it will take 8-10 weeks. Does this sound like a fair price. Im in Kansas City and cant find a lot of people that will even look at it.

I ran a Super trapp on my last Z and was wondering if anyone is running it on there turbo car?

I ran 2 11 inch fans on my old 260 (one in front and one behind the radiator). I never had any trouble in the heat with the set up. I got the fans at Western Auto. It did free up some HP. It was one of the best things I did to the car.

Its easy for all the Cali guys to say trash it, but here in the mid west that isnt that bad. Nothing a couple days welding and a few beer's cant fix. Unfortunately Z cars are not a dime a dozen around here. I know a lot of people that would be happy to have that little rust to start with.

Here in KC at the strip if you burn your tires anywhere on the property other than the box you are gone. Start a fight and you dont come back.

Actually cops can pull you over anywhere, public or private property does not matter. The only reason I know this is beacuse I work for the fire dept. and work with cops every day. I did ems on a guy that swore up and down that the cops couldnt touch him on his own property and began to fight with the officer (not a good move).

Do you want to come over and fix my 71 frame rails? Please!! That looks very very nice!
