  1. First issue is cost of swap. Unless you are handy and can fabricate. You would have to buy Arizona kit or Techno Toy Tuning. Upwards of $2000 for whole setup.

I personally have not had an issue. I have about 1500 miles on my setup which is TTT. Have had some chatter under stress situations. But definitely works as a LSD. I am running the n/a z32 4.09 gear. I want to find a 97-01 Q45 rear dif that is 3.69.

1.What are other options for LSD? Z31, would be $500 to $1500 just for dif. Then you need axles, yes you can have them made. Also, a drive axle.

2.OBX cheapbay product. Have not heard bad news, just chinese. $400 to $500 for dif. (http://www.zdriver.com/forum/280zx-performance-technical-79/lsd-diff-swap-22641/) good write up in that post

3.Weld the gears,,,, not good for driver

    4. Precision gear. http://www.precisiongear.com/powerbrute.htm

I wanted to have the z32 brakes on all four corners for the ability to brake well but also the cool factor.... With the TTT rear set up you can have the brakes with a working e-brake. Find a pic n pay with the car and pull the hole setup out. Should be able to get it for less than $300, dif, brakes and axles. Send axles to TTT and wala done.

  2. Misc wiring issue with the headlights. The switch was bad, it work only in the hi beam setting. So, got a replacement one and they work!!

Dad bought turn signals and the fog lights used on ebay. Should be here Monday and that will have everything electrical working. Just have to find the leak in the A/C. Also I think there are some leaks in the vacuum lines. Under hard acceleration it has warm air coming from under the dash. Also the fan does not move air out the center vents. Only the outside vents.

  3. Well making plans for starting body work. I will be doing this with it still being a driver. I know not the best plan for a perfect finish. Not looking for show car finish but want to alleviate the rust issues. Plan on doing a color change as well. Want to do all work myself with dads help.

So, scored 2 front fenders yesterday. I will get pictures uploaded later. Both fenders are way better than mine. I have 8" round holes in the lower fender of my car, typical rust spot for our cars. One of the new fenders has a rust spot about 3 inches in size that will be easy to patch. The person threw in a polyurethane front nose. It has been painted and the paint is pealing off.  I was going to attempt to remove the paint, if I can't get it to look good I am going to paint it with bedliner paint.

  4. I moved my battery to the trunk area. Then installed a surge tank in the battery location. I am running a low pressure pump from the tank that fills the surge tank. Then after the tank a filter and a MSD255 high pressure pump that feeds the fuel rail. After the fuel rail is the FPR that feeds back to the surge tank.

Works well so far. Here are some pics

  5. I have read that some just put r134 in and see if it leaks.

Going to work on that today...

Headlights did not work. So I took the headlight switch out and cleaned the contacts. I got the passenger side to work low/hi. Passenger would come on on initial switch on then go out. So, cleaned them some more and the switch totally quit.
