  1. I put mine where my battery was and i'm relocating my batter under my passenger seat.
  2. I have a whole 2.5 inch exhaust. Came on my car. Looks really new. Sounds good too

    Coilovers

looking for some coil overs, can be Ground control with sectioned struts, Integra DC2, or whatever else. Thought I would try on here before I make my own. Thanks
  4. I'm also curious about this, can't you just drill a small hole or two in the cap?
  5. I'm relocating my battery under my passengers seat and just putting my surge tank, fuel pump, fuel filter and all my lines where the old battery was located. Then all you have to do is run a feed and return and boom you're done. I was going to put it in the spare wheel compartment but the surge tank I had purchased was too big and I thought it might be cool to have it tucked under the hood.
  6. How did you cut through the chassis? That's what i'm curious about.
  7. I'm really tempted to still cut a hole and try to fit my muffler in there. I think the idea of a side pipe out of the driver fender is awesome
  8. Well I bought a full mandrel bent ss 3 inch pipe kit and an aero turbine at3030. So I'll just use that and build a regular exhaust. Thanks for the help guys
  9. Autox, track, will probably take it to the strip a few times. I'm almost done building it, just need to do the exhaust and wiring. This is my first z and first real project car. Hoping.to be low 11's
  10. I wasn't aware of that. I guess I might as well just use the kit and muffler I bought then and do a traditional exhaust.
  11. I was thinking just straight pipe. I live in Michigan so no emissions. I also plan on getting a historical car plate, I see old American cars running around all the time with just headers and or straight pipes so I figure why not my car. It will mostly be a track car but I do plan to drive it occasionally during the week. This is just an idea, I do have a whole 3 inch mandrel bent pipe kit I was going to fab up but I figured this would be cool/different.
  12. Can you post a picture of where it exits? Are the exhaust fumes bad? I plan in driving the car often, don't care about noise, just fumes.
  13. I'll try.to snap pictures tomorrow. Hopefully have it done in the next week or so.
  14. I'm thinking about running my exhaust out of my front fender and was wondering if anyone has any experience doing this? It will basically be a downpipe running.off my turbo. Is it ok to cut 3 and a 1/4 inch hole through the support and fender or will this affect the structural integrity of my car?
  15. Thanks. Seems like a fair price.
  16. Im looking for a nice used m111 automatic Trans turbo oil pump. Text me if you have one, thanks. 5178944084
  17. I came across this on Zcar.com so I guess i'll try it without the oil sling. The purpose is to "sling" oil to lube the timing chain. The part can be left off and is recommended in high RPM engines to be left off. This is not only done by many engine builders, but is even written in the "How to Hotrod Your Nissan" book as a performance build modification. It explains quite well why to leave it off. It comes down to oil return rate and rotational resistance from the large amounts of oil in the timing chain area. Much of the oil returns back to the oil pan via the front timing chain. The slinger kicks the oil back up and keeps the chain bathed in oil at low engine speeds. The problem is it inhibits some of the oil it slings from returning back to the pan. This excessive oil is just generating resistance to rotation. Kind of the same effect as windage in your crank case. Stock trim... It wont mater either way. Me... I've always left it off and have never had a problem. Street or race.
  18. Man I don't really want to rip it apart again. Well this sucks. Thanks for the help
  19. I have my car almost completely back together and forgot to put this in, i'm not sure if it goes on after the pulley or before? If I don't put it in will it be completely detrimental to my car, Just wanted to make sure before I took everything apart again. Thanks
  20. I messed up my turbo manifold and need a new one. When I welded In my pipe for the external wastegate it ended up being too close to the block so now my wastegate won't fit. Need a new one, or if anyone has some ideas on how to fix mine let me know. Thanks I appreciate it. Don't mind the ugliness. It was my first time welding haha.
  21. I just bought one from some guy on ebay. he's parting a couple turbo 280zx
  22. Need a distributor, have the shaft. thanks
