  1. Ok heres my proposal. In July I am going to climb this Bass Tird called Mt Fuji, the highest peak in Japan at over 12,000 Feet! I will take a Mt Fuji Flag and have HybridZ.org put on it. I want to take donations like $1 or $2 to have your name put on the flag and photographed at the top of the summit. I know Hybridz has never been that high and probably never will again so this is a first original to get in on history. ALL PROCEEDS will go to Super Dan to help run OUR site. Sound like a winner? Input please...I will be leading my Supply group of Marines and they will be in the pic as well. There are 10 stopping points along the way and I get a notch for each level I conquer. Once at the top I will take pics and send to anyone who wants to have one. Dont miss the oportunity to be a part of history for the ORG and help out at the same time. Hell Im the one climbing so I wont be a happy camper. Cars would have a serious time even running at that altitude:shock: I wont start collecting donations until mid June....I can make a list now so I will have names to call back in June.....opinions guys????? Lets do this....

  2. wow...shoulda got drag radials then huh ? For daily driving

    Damn....

I have an lt1 with all bolt ons' date=' electric water pump, hotcam, 1.6 rockers, good exhaust and intake and no accessories, with tuning I am hoping to get about 340whp or so.

Should have done the bfg 275/40/17 drag radials huh....[/quote']

Daily driving your ok but I must say losing traction becomes a real nuisance real quick. Stay with street legal tires if you go softer. Maybe buy an extra rear set of rims and tires for the special ocassions....:burnout:

  3. i got a q45 rear end' date=' mosler axles and 280z stubs, i dont think i'll be breaking anything in that department

I was hoping that the 275 width would help me some with traction

power wise i will be right around 330-340whp[/quote']

Sounds nice. The reason I say this is because I have the BBC Z with low pros 18s and man my 60 is like 3 secs no matter what and I have the T56. Corzette is another story. MTs and 1.5 60s. Suspension tuning is a must but you will need traction ready tires to aide in the best 60. Ask ZFAN abou that.

  4. I was wondering if I were to go from 1.5 rollers I have now to 1.6s would I see any improvement in ETs or MPHs? I have the AFR 190 heads with 1.5s now. ZFAN runs a one step larger cam than me so wouldnt this sorta let me see how it would compare to the bigger cam? What would that give me and extra .32 lift each side? Currently it is .520/.510. Desk top anyone?

  5. That tail light panel is from an old Ken Mary Skyline. I believe pre 1973 or so. My buddy used to have one in the 80s in Okinawa. The body was kinda sloped to the back like a Z. That would bring mint money today.

Thats looks like a fairlady Z, so my guess is that he did not make it but rather found the picture somewhere. NOTE: the Japanese license plate kinda gives it away
  6. Thanks for all your input, Mikelly where's a good place to buy vette parts? I was planning on tubbing the rear (vette rear with adjustable coil-overs) and vette front with a full cage front to rear.Im hoping this wont turn into another major project like my 55 Chev street/shoot-out car did.......YEAH RIGHT!! Another exercise in obssesion & frustration LOL!! Thanks for all your help guys, It helps to know theres other crazy muthas that are into building their dreams/Nightmares!! Pass the SAW!!

    Thats what its all about....:burnout:

  7. actually I wasn't even thinking of that ROFL

I was just saying... I hate 1/8th mile tracks because all my reference points for if a car is 'fast' or not all center on full 1/4 mile runs... so when you say you ran 9.45 in the 1/8th I really have no idea if that is 'fast' or not and always have to ask "so what would that be in the 1/4?".

Haha...right!!!!!!!!!! Sorta like the YEN and DOLLAR thing over here or the KILO vs POUND....annoying stuff!!

  8. Heys guys what the hell. Why is everyones testosterone up so high lately....remember I am the one stuck half way around the world on a mountain at 6000 feet with no women...... Hug and make up please...we own Zs and are above the rest......imho....:burnout:

  9. Listen, I dont care how much it costs if it works. I need a piece of mind and want to get in the 9s with Corzette. I cant do that without the stronger diff axles stubs etc. I would like to have the mount that bolts into the holes where the old diff strap went but if the other one is strong enough Im game for that one too. Im in but need to know what the final verdict is on design. The thing is with the diff mount is right now we dont have any other exchangeable options like with the rear bar. We can use stock or aftermarket but this piece has not been mass fabricated yet so it will cost more initially.

  10. I modified the stock rails to have a ford f150 seat fit. That seat was freakin heavy and only did it so I could drive it home because there was no driver seat, and moving the pass seat over to the drive, the trans tunnel got in the way of the reclining latch from locking. fit pretty well though, but my head was 2 inches from the roof, I'm short (5'6").

AK-Z, Ive never said it but damn your Z is awesome. Looks like it just popped out of a mold....oops wrong forum...

  11. Very doable given enough time and determination. I considered a G- nose when planning my YZ project. I wouldn't have been very much, if any, more work.

Roger that! Im stoked...should be an interesting build.. Im changing the rear hatch as well and adding the diffuser to the rear of some sort with solid tail light panel and ovals. Oh the possibilities.....
