  1. I will be here till at least 2008 so I can get anything say 1973 or older then! makes my day easier! I can even have it shipped to the FortWorth port dropoff just like I did my 240. MAICHOR and RPMS get ready Ill be back!!!

  2. Damn guys you all have it all figured out. Hey Im quiting my job tomorrow and starting my own business...hahaha. Hey shipping a vehicle is only like $1200ish from here so shippings not a big deal. Can anyone verify the 25 year thing? All I know is 10 years or older waivers the emissions for Federal only. DOT is another issue. If we can verify that nothing has to be done for 25 or older then Im going shopping soon! Yeah for 6K I was thinking about the red RX7 just because and its a 13B! The rear ORCA tail has to go....should be a good car for an LS1....hmmmmm. Mike nothing yet on mirrors...I have to go to Numazu soon and check the up garage there...

  3. HaHa. I knew someone would want the flairs! Thats really really old school japanese...shouldnt be hard to make...hell some of them make flairs with card board and fiber over it. I remember those days in the 80s when I was here!!! Next Time I come here I will bring a S30 over just to make some profit on selling it. They dig the left hand drive too!

  4. G! you are da man! I already EMailed an importer in Michigan to get estimates for turn key street prices for the old school and RB34 models. Ill post as soon I know something...An R33 wouldnt be bad either but an R32 is a lead boat...

  5. Gollum my state of record is texas so no problem there. All cars that come into the states has to pass federal regs only initially. The state applies when you register it so no probs there. I just dont know of any shops anywhere else but cali that can handle the conversion and paperwork.

  6. Ok Bo Im sold....I always wanted a Skyline. I need to get info on the import conversion part of it. I brought back a car in 1986 but things have changed Im sure. I know shipping is free for me and emissions is waived for cars over 10 years old. DOT is all good except they weld in some bogus rods in the doors and inside the front and rear bumpers. What I need to find out is what shop I can coordinate with to make these things happen upon delivery to Long Beach. The conversion shop spots the bond to do the work so I dont have to pay 3 times the value of the car upfront! Does anyone know who does this on the West Coast? I used West Coast Imports last time but that was 20 yeas ago. Any advice?

  7. Hey there is a guy here on base in Zama that has a Skyline just like the red one above. Its silver and black but looks great. How much should I offer him for it? I was thinking about taking one back vice the Vett. Any suggestions and how rare would it be to have one like the above in the states?

  8. I have one in my 240 but it is wider than the rail width. I had to cut notches in the rails and then have aluminum flanges welded on the side of the radiator to mount flush with the radiator opening. I also had a petcock tapped in as well. All for about $50. The next smaller Rad would have been an easier fit IMHO. If you have a 280 I think it should be fine width wise...

  9. Sounds nice, just rememebr you may have to set the clearance from time to time on those rockers with forced induction. My friends was shooting 250 shots on his solid roller and was always reseting the lash about every two weeks. I know, what am I saying, thats the fun part of it! Good Luck on your build!!!

  10. Damn Dr Hunt, do share! You guys are gonna be so far ahead of me when I get back its gonna be rediculous! I guess Im forced to look at the Small Block 472 with a possible Pro Charger! Dreaming is great but it may come true! Would you care to advise when I start collecting parts? Also I aggre that money well spent on the bottom end will pay big dividends...just ask ZFAN!
