  1. That was my post, and yes, I still have the motor. You can e-mail me privately at b.dooley1@cox.net . Thanks Brian
  2. For $3200 you get all the parts I listed. The motor is in a clip and running. I'm not sure if you would want to ship the entire clip though as it would be more expensive than just the drivetrain. I can pull the drivetrain and harness out for easier shipping, but I'm willing to send it however you want. I do not have a driveshaft. The Skyline drive shaft would be useless in a Z anyway. The RB20 tranny uses the same yoke as the S30-S130 Z car. As a matter of fact, the RB20 tranny looks almost identical to the Z car one. At the worst you would just need to have yours shortened and balanced and it will slip right in. When I had my driveshaft done it set me back $140, and that was with all new U-joints as well. Your '83 ZX did not come with a factory LSD. The earliest factory supplied units are in the late '87 300zx turbo, from April of '87 and later to be exact. As for the clearance, with a ZX you have a fair amount more room to play with. Since it is a bigger car, you probably have more room up and down too. I can't say positively, but the plenum issue may not apply to your car. Regardless, there are ways to solve that. Let me know. Brian
  3. I did not say it was the stock pick up tube. It is the 200ZR pick up tube, and on the RB20 it should work just fine. He was asking about the RB20 and not the 26. Yes, on the 26 it will require mods, but the budget he gave would not cover an RB26. As for my RB26's, I have R32's and one R33. All are with computer and harness. The R32's are $3200, this is without an RB25 rear drive tranny. About $1000 more for the tranny. The R33 has a blitz computer, HKS cam pulleys, and is going for $5000. Again, without RB25 tranny. Brian
  4. I have pretty much everything you might need. I have several motors, including an R32 RB20det (215hp), an R34 RB25det (287hp), and of course a couple RB26dett's. I also have brand new sets of Z31 200ZR mounts, and the all important 200ZR rear sump oil pan with pick up tube, also brand new from Nissan Japan. Pretty much all you will need is the modified driveshaft, if even that. For the RB20 with all the parts listed I'm asking $3200. Prices move up with the bigger motors of course. I'm in San Diego and am happy to ship. Let me know if you're interested. Brian
  5. I still have a fully built 3.1 liter turbo motor I'm looking to sell. It was posted in the for sale section a while back. You can probably look it up in the search function looking for my previous posts. It still has 0 miles as I have been working on my suspension and body lately. It is complete with Z31 computer and mass sensor along with a Greddy E-manage piggyback and a bunch of other stuff. It will easliy put down over 400hp. Let me know if you want more info.
  6. I have six pages that I have scanned. I'm trying to get them posted to a site, but will e-mail them to you if you give me your adress. E-mail me at b.dooley1@cox.net . Thanks for the help.
  7. Hey guys, I picked up a used Sard Trigger boost controller and am looking for English instructions for it. I do have the Japanese instructions, so if someone is willing to translate a few passages that would be just as good. Thanks
  8. I thought I'd jump in on this. Miles was running very consistently, and quite quick. I do have to make a point about the video of him racing against me in the yellow Roadster though. The angle only shows the start at which Miles got a huge jump on me with a great start. What is not shown clearly is the finish, at which I had reeled him in. Miles did still win the race, but not as the video might have you believe. He ran a 9.234@76.01 to my 9.237@83.48. This may seem petty to some, but I have an ego to protect just the same as everyone else. By looking at the video, you'd think I was walloped by four car lengths.
  9. Thought I'd let everyone know how the turbo SR Roadster is running. I took it down to the 1/8th mile drags the other night. Needless to say, people were a bit surprised. After the first run, none of the imports wanted to run with me and I was staged against V-8's for most of the night. And I live in San Diego where you would think there are fast imports. My launches were hideous as I have no traction at all. My friends told me that I'd spin both wheels for a third of the track before it would hook up. My times were an average of 9.2 @ 84mph. This is at five pounds of boost, and not fully tunes either. I'm running too rich on the SDS right now. I lost to a couple of big V8's, but only because of the traction issue. My trap speeds were usually about 5mph higher than my competitor. I'm quite interested to see what it would run in the quarter. On the seventh run, my differential exploded on the shift to second. I had planned to run 14 pounds of boost, but to be honest I'm a bit scared of what it might be like. It already comes on like a rocket at just five pounds.
  10. I have a '67.5 1600 that I've swapped an SR20 turbo into. I am just finishing up the stand alone system right now. I had an FJ20 (two liter twin cam '80's Skyline motor) in it up to this point. The cars are a blast and I'm pretty excited about the new motor. It also sports a Nismo suspension, carbon fiber dash, Autometer gauges, and I'm also in the middle of fitting Porsche 944 turbo front brakes and Skyline GT-R rears. I don't have a web site at the moment, but I'd be happy to send a couple of pics to any one interested.
