  1. Yes I saw it. The drama continues... Mark
  2. Tim, I HATE YOU!!! Sweet truck though... Nice job... I'll drop my 70 C20 off Monday so you can start your magic! (I wish ) Mark
  3. Personally I think whom ever bought it paid too much for fiber glass that you must remove from an existing car! Mark
  4. Hm... and you're telling me this because... A. You're a great guy and your willing to give or sell cheap this tilt column from a van. B. You're telling me because you have no intention of offering said column and are thus gloating while sticking pins into a likeness of myself. Will Tim chose A or B? Cast your vote now and stay tuned for the next exciting episode! p.s. I will be in the San Bernadino/Redlands area June 10-13! Mark
  5. Tim, I'm having a wonderful time with the stock column shifter linkage the previous owner hacked! It seems I need to replace the stock linkage or eliminate it all together by going to a floor mount shifter. As cool as floor mount shifters look, I'd rather stick with a column shifter. Doing a net search of companies, I've found what should work. Lokar makes a hemi-joint linkage kit for column shifters. http://www.lokar.com/interior_pages/colshiftlink.htm My question is have you or anyone for that matter, used or had experience with Lokar products? p.s. I still want your suburban bench seat! Mark
  6. That thing can't be over 2000 lbs. right? Hm... I wonder how difficult it would be to fit a sbf into one of those... Mark
  7. While surfing some mustang racer sites, two shops were mentioned frequently as being quality vendors for G-force and Tremmec transmissions. The first is a company called Astro Performance Warehouse. Their URL is www.astroperformance.com/ The other is a company out of Florida called Promotion Performance Powertrain. I've been unable to find a URL for them sorry. But I do have a contact name and phone number. Contact Walt Leaman at 954-771-5575. Yes there are alternatives to 'BUBBA' at G-force. Mark
  8. All the Ford conversions I've seen were in 240-280Z's and from what I could see weren't that difficult to do. I'm in the process of preparing one of my 240's to a Ford conversion and notching the front cross member and welding a plate to strengthen it is no big deal! At the 2004 Rio Vista show I saw a 240 that the owner had done the same thing and used late 70's Ford truck engine mounts grafted to the frame rails and this allowed him to run full length short-style headers with his mustang 5.0 motor. The old myth that Fords cost much more to build than a Chevy is just not true! The Ford factory and aftermarket parts that is available for the sbf is quite enormous and price wise no more than GM equivalents. Mark
  9. So Alex what happened to him? Sounds like he was prematurely uncorked! Mark
  10. Only you Alex, only you... Mark
  11. We had the mixed green salad with Prosciutto and Gorgonzola, then Meatball Rollatto, a rolled meatball, pepperoni, escarole and five cheese pizza. A killer bottle of wine, Campofiorin Masi. Then for dessert Tiramisu with carmel sauce and coffee! Tim, which location do you frequent? Mark
  12. Tim, the term is "drool, I never slobber! Dinner was great we ate at Buca di Beppo, that's an Italian restaurant to the culturally challenged like Tim and Alex. I burned the better part of a C-note, but it was worth it! Mark
  13. Thanks for all the sincere congratulations! To Tim and Alex, soccer mom has something for both of you! DavyZ, your not half my age, I'm only 46 starting tommorrow Mark
  14. Fifteen years of mostly married bliss as of today! I got to get ready because dinner reservations are at 18:00! Mark
  15. Tim, here's an idea, do as Turbo Meister suggested and mini tub keeping within the stock fenders. Then if you wish to go with a wider look, flare the fenders and simply run wider wheels! Mark p.s. If you flare, you really can't unflare it!
  16. Tim, if your going to use a 9" Ford why would you need to flare the Z? Why not do what MikeKZ did and keep everything inside the stock fenders? Now if you were going to keep the independent rearend then I'd say go for it! Mark
  17. www.headerdesign.com is another useful resource for the design of headers and exhaust systems. Mark
  18. Dear Gerbil Boy, I own two Z's to be exact, a 72 and a 73, both of which are currently driveway ornaments, but one is destined to receive a V8 someday, not a blender, opps, I mean rotary. p.s. It's OK to admit YOU made a mistake Alex. Love and Kisses Mark
  19. Alex, that's Mr. SoccerMom to you! Actually I'm RedNeck Guy now since I bought my 70 Chevy C20 with a nasty 454! Go to my gallery to see! Mark
  20. Alex, gerbils don't count!!! Mark
  21. Economical and Affordable are relative terms when appliied here... Mark
  22. I do wish I had overdrive... I want/need a Gear Vender Overdrive unit! http://www.gearvendors.com/ But I'm cheap so I'll have to find a used unit or find someone who needs to sell really bad! So what's your address Tim? I'll come by some evenning and relieve you of that Suburban bench seat! But wait, your lusting after my dash gauge cluster pod! http://album.hybridz.org/data/500/7842optional_guage.jpg Mark
  23. Here is another option; http://www.keislerauto.com/gm/transmissions/builder.asp Hm... a Ford TKO600 plus a free shifter for $1675 Mark
