Just my input, Ive always loved the BRE style spoiler. kinda follows the Z's lines and it still benefits the handling. But hey if thats what you like I dont have a right to tear it down.

They are just pissed because they drive a heap and dont have a nice orange Z. That sucks man i feel for ya. By the way is that like chameleon paint? It looks like it changes from orange to red. Looks really cool.

I'm curious about the undercoat that you did in your engine bay. I am considering doing that. Is it true that its not as sturdy as normal paint?

Alrite im gonna take a look at both of those companies a little more in depth. I have found a local sprayer that has a lot of experience so I got that out of the way.

Yeah they do review your car. I was thinking they would approve it because it would be something different. I'm currently building a 280z with an rb25 swap and I'm going to put the deep Watanabe wheels and ZG flairs on it so I was thinking that they would dig their paint on a classic. Kinda like a new and old fusion.

Alrite thanks for your knowledge ls1hybridz that really helped me out. My philosophy is I am willing to pay more money for exactly what I want instead of getting less but I cannot see myself paying $800 for paint alone, I simply cant afford it. Also thanks MJlamberson for your input.

That is why I am buying it from Top Secret. If you try and copy it it looks cheesy and never comes out right. My only problem at this point is trying to figure out if I will have enough. You can buy a quart of it for about $500 dollars. I am going to have a professional paint it and I do not know if that will be enough paint to do the outside of the car and the door jams. You cannot get extra paint as you need it they only sell it by the quart. If you thin it out you can get more paint. Do you guys know if this would work or would i need more? If i would, then I would not be able to afford it.

Hey guys I was thinking about buying some of that "Top Secret" gold paint to paint my 280z. I think it would look really nice. If i do get it i will buy the real paint direct from Top Secret, I'm not going to try and have it made because it never comes out right. Thanks for your help guys. I found a set. Theres actually a guy on these forums that can get them. I'm not trying to make a Devil Z clone lol. I just like the decal. I know a number of Z fanatics that will probably ask me what it is and I like having cool little things on my car I can talk about.

I was not sure where to put this post so i thought it would be most appropriate under body and paint. I was wondering if anyone happens to know where to get Speed Shop Shinohara [sSS] decals. I have searched everywhere for them and have not even found one. I was hoping maybe you guys know something I don't? By the way I'm trying to restore a 280z to look like the old Japanese street cars. Hi everyone! This is my first post and I plan to post often on this forum. You all seem to be the experts on everything Z so i thought this would be a good place to start. I have just purchased a 1975 280z for $300 in awesome condition, it was a steal. It has no motor or transmission, however the driveshaft is still in place. I want to drop in an rb26dett crate engine with transmission and all. I have a garage and all the tools necessary to do the job and have knowledge of cars. I would like some guidance because I've never put a motor from a different car in something before. Thank you very much:)
