  1. Damn, i`m full of projects.I just hope i can finish them $$$$? This one is for my 11yr old son,got it for $100.00. Got started on the strip stage/rust control last week. It`s a 1975 280z, yes the one with the ugly fat bumpers.
  2. The ZETTO-BASTARD,is going in for a motor rebuild/refresh. The only way to find out what`s wrong is opening her up and refresh the head(port/polish/new seats/valves) and also put new piston rings while i`m at it.
  3. Wet plugs? Somethings not right, the car sounds terrible! click pic.
  4. They sure look like mini ac-cobras.
  5. I`ve gotten another damper on and got the car on timing. There`s no more backfiring which is good. But, oil is still fouling the spark plug. Can i assume the damage are the valve seals and guides? If so, what other things can i do since the head would be coming off? How hard would this task be? What parts do you all recommend and where do i buy them? The car does`nt sound so good since the sparks are wet.Oh well, here`s a little video of my 280zTURBO: THE ZETTO-BASTARD!
  6. Awesome! I pass through Pottsville last year to visit Eastwood warehouse . Nice build!
  7. Never been to n.mexico. All transaction with 1NONLYZ were done by phone and shipped to puerto rico. This transaction is a testament of the credibility of 1NONLYZ. Once again 1NONLYZ, THANKZ.
  8. The only person that my Z owe`s it`s return to life is to 1NONLYZ (here on this forum),with the help of pharaohabq. He`s actually your neighbor out in N.Mexico Great guy to work with and with very reasonable rates on a very hard part to find. The rad/support was cut out of a donor/parts car and its condition, one excellent solid rust free part! Heck, your so close that you can make a drive to his place and see the 15 plus donor z cars he has and also ck out his turbo build. Shoot, i might just buy him another rad/support for a spare. It`ll be an assurance to have a spare. Try to get in touch with him here on this forum.
  9. You must get a whole lot of attention when that BEAST is is driven.NICE work!
  10. Oh No! I think i really screwed up.I was having problems with the timing, since the major hit was on the crank damper. I got the electromotve triger wheel on the 11th tooth, also put the damper on the 0 mark. The car started up fine a few weeks ago but, this weekend it started to backfire like crazy. Every time i would get it started and give gas it would hesitate, backfire and shut off. I knew the problem was with the timing and i kept up at it (stupid me!). I then took of the spark plug to check if piston #1 was up and realized oil all over the plug. Not only on the first plug but also on the others. I then went ahead to check the crank damper and this is what i found: The damn thing was crack and throwing off the timing. Now i`m really afraid of the extend of what the backfiring may have cause. Are the rings gone or is it the valves? I also would like anyone here to identify my crack crank pulley. Is it a regular turbo crank or the European turbo crank? Thankz!
  11. Just simply beautiful!Nice work!Long live the Z!
  12. Try using a screwdriver, follow the inside door mechanism rod (horizontal)to one of the opening where the (horizontal)rod and the (vertical) rod are united by a nut/screw, and push forward with screwdriver while holding inside door mechanism open.GOOD LUCK!
  13. There is sure a similarity with the hood scoop. Wait i think it `s the hood!
  14. Mudboy, where in the Caribbean are you from? Keep up the nice work.
  15. Maybe your right, i just thought the idea of direct cold air flow would be helpful since the engine bay does get quite hot.
  16. Here`s mine. I cut the rad/core support a bit and ran all the pipes to one side. Had to mod the Isuzu NPR intercooler. I ran the 3`` intake pipe in front of the IC unit so cold airflow hits the pipe while the car is in motion. The 2/12 turbo pipe runs straight through with no bends to the IC. This works fine for me.
  17. Sketch, If yours is ``A BIG OLD CAN``than what would you call mine?
  18. My only worry is THIEF.Out here in puerto rico the colleges/universities are hot spot for thieves.
  19. I sure would like those door mirrors on the blue Z. Let me know how much $$ ? THANKZ
  20. Well, she sure likes the boost from my turboZ, but i`m going to keep this one automatic and all stock. It`ll be her 1st car so i want to play it safe with less hp and keep it as a commuter car for collage.
  21. Yes!I know it`s a lot of work, but at 45yrs old, it`s what i enjoy doing as a hobby.Z4LIFE!
