  1. So if I understand correctly, the lowering springs will add a small amount of negative camber. Correct? A bit of negative camber will probably improve my handling somewhat.. Thanks Doug!!!
  2. I just purchased new struts and sway bars for my 77z. I am wondering if the addition of these parts plus lowering springs will cause my camber to change outside of street specs? I'd rather not spend the money on camber adjusters right now if I don't have to. On the other hand I don't want to deal with strange steering geomerty or extreme tire wear. Anyone have an opinion on this? Thanks,
  3. I have spare malfuntioning version of my injectors I would be happy to send you. Email me your address and I'll get it sent out.
  4. JSK, Do the injectors you selected for your new rail look like this? Before I preorder I want to make sure the rail will be compatible with my injectors. Thanks
  5. I had to go to an electric fan so I could install my intercooler piping. The clutch fan will cool better, but the right electric fan will be adequate. I personally am going to use a Derale dual 12" setup. The only thing I have issue with is how do you know if your fan has failed? By the time you realize the fan is broke or the fuse has blown your temp guage will be pegged. A mechanical fan is much more worry free in my opinion. Just my .02C By the way.....Does anyone have a picture of this infamous 2-speed Taurus fan? Thanks,
  6. yo2001, Are you using a T04B or E compressor housing with the 60-1 wheel? What AR? Also, are you using a .63 AR turbine housing? Thanks
  7. Hi rags, Sorry to see you are having trouble with your Tec2. Unfortunatley I don't know enough about the Wintec 2 software to be of any help. Can you post the names of the forums that specialize in Electromotive? Thanks
  8. spork, If you look at the T04E 50 trim versus the 57 trim you will see that the 50 has a much larger peak efficiency island. I personally run a 50 trim compressor with a stage V turbine wheel. The turbine housing is a .63 AR. This setup spools quicker than my stock 1983 280ZXT. I would definately stay with a .63 turbine housing. In my opinion you have three compressor options when building a hybrid turbo for a Z. T04E 50 trim (400HP) or T04E 60 trim (450HP) or T04B 60-1 (450+HP). The turbine side should stay a .63 with a stage 3 or 5 wheel until you want to go past 450HP. I can't speak to the real world feel of a 57 trim. I only know that some very experienced people who know turbos and Z's typically don't run the 57. Just my .02C.
  9. RPMZ, Do you know of a website where we can see the compressor map for a Garret GT30? Thanks,
  10. I see this is your first post. Welcome to the HybridZ crowd. I think you will find this forum is one of the best on the net. Beautiful car by the way!!! Is your GT30 turbo a ball bearing center section? Your 1/4 mile times are impressive. A little more power and you will be in the 11's.
  11. I run the NGK BPR6ES-11. Do you guys notice any difference with the "7"'s? Good or Bad?
  12. You folks are amazing!!! Thanks for all the info. I will probably run AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 75W-90 Gear Lube in my 1983 280ZXT T-5.
  13. Hi all, What is your experience with ATF or gear oil in the 1983 Borg Warner T-5 transmission? I believe the service manual recommends ATF, but what brands or type should I purchase? I'm a fan of synthetic so I'll probably go that route. I've heard of people running gear oil in the T-5. Is that a better choice? I am on the street 75% of the time and the track 25%. Thanks!
  14. [This is my reply to a different post, but it applies here too.] I personally would like a rail to fit the below injectors. This style is very common in the Mazda, Toyota, Honda, Acura and DSM crowd. The part#'s listed are Nippon Denso injectors that came on RX7's. I personally run the 460cc version. If you built rails for these type of injectors I'd bet you would sell enough to make it worth your while. The hard part is building a rail that seals the "O" rings properly. These injectors will easily fit in a L28 intake manifold by making a simple modification to the diameter of the pintle caps. 84-85 13B NT low square center 680cc orange 195500-0900 86-87 13B NT low square center 460cc red 195500-1350 86-87 13B T low square center 550cc tan 195500-1370 Thanks,

  16. If someone actually confirms a part# and source for the dual port actuator please post. I'd prefer not to pay TopEnd's premium price unless it's absolutely necessary. Thanks,
  17. Lockjaw, Do you know if your dual port actuator is from another car or is it an aftermarket unit? I might try and fabricate my own setup. Also, I do have a T3/4 hybrid (JWT Sport 400) with stock single port. Did you notice an immediate difference with the dual port? Thanks
  18. Great info. Thanks yo2001! Does anyone know if there's a dual port actuator that is easily added to a stock 280ZXT wastegate?
  19. Hello all, Can someone explain to me why some wastegate diaphram actuators have two ports vs one? I use a stock L28ET actuator on my wastegate and am wondering if I could benefit from a dual port. Thanks....
  20. Until I have a custom T4 flange or T4 manifold built I will need to stay with a hybrid. My next turbo upgrade will probably be to add a 60-1 wheel inside my T04E compressor housing. The only other option would be install the T04E 60 trim wheel. This would effectively make it a JWT Sport 450.
  21. Good advice guys. I've always blindly trusted the Tec be accurate. Let's just say I'll be taking out the timing light real soon!. Later
  22. Check out this link..... http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16606&highlight= and this link.... http://www.iskycams.com/pdfcatalog_index.html Look at Datsun/Nissan My cam is the L490 on the intake and the L480 on the exhaust with a custom 114 lobe center. So far I've been happy with everything about this cam. I wouldn't recommend this profile to people who's engines aren't built for 7000 rpm's or better.
  23. Hi all, I just read Bumble Zee's post and got to thinking about my project. I have the same billet fuel, but will be using "O" ring injectors instead of the barbed type. Can anyone recommend a shop or person that has experience drilling fuel rails for "O" ring injectors? I also want the ends threaded for AN -8. I could probably do this myself, but I'd rather not @#$% up two or three rails before I get it right. The hard part is getting the "O" rings to seal. Thanks
