  2. I don't remember what link but you can just click into one page and there is a next button at the bottom of the page. I just really like seeing how some one else built thier z so I clicked through about every page. tbs
  3. http://www.takkun.net/dri-z-000.htm On this page in the links he shows pictures of installing a skyline rear suspension. This is the best I've been able to find. tbs
  4. 3 parts cars 1 81 non turbo t-top targa top 1 81 turbo 1 83 non turbo t-top current s130 81 non turbo converted to turbo hardtop tbs
  5. True 1fastz this will cost a bit of money to CNC port the head and reverse engineering these engine parts is going to take me a good amount of time. But I don’t' think money or time should stop projects that others may learn from and spark their own creativity try something different, if money and time did stop all projects you wouldn't have the KA head on your L31. Also this block isn't for finding hot spots it so clearly see the travel of the water from the pump through the block and how and where it enters the head. tbs
  6. I plan to do complete CFD on the water passengers and ports. Not only will this show static flow, but we can define materials with heat transfer rates, and define fluid temperatures. By testing not only the head but the block and water pump I'm hoping to find the hot spots in the head, test different port configurations, and better under stand the heat transfer in the intake and exhaust ports. Not to mention that with the head modeled and then modified CNC porting will now be possible for the L6. tbs
  7. The Range is about 12in and scanner is size of a shoe box. No Not CMM its a Next Engine 3D parts scanner the point cloud and automatic meshing is about 10000 times the resolution that can be taken CMM and about about a hundredth the time. tbs
  8. This is the start of scaning an N42 head. I'll be scaning the head interally aswell and meshing together a full 3d model for testing. I also plan to scan a P90, F54, N42? Block. tbs
  9. on my parts car I had rust around the fuel cap, passenger frame rail, battery box, lower shock towers, around t-tops, quarters, front and rear floor pans, spair tire area, and around the head lights. My driveable car had rust below the tail light, front floor pan, lower shock towers, quarter panels, and the upper and lower windshield. tbs
  10. Congrats 1 fast z. At least someone finished one lol. I'm curious to see how much more power can be made with that head vs. a stock head, but with everything else the same. In case anyone is wondering I'm didn't finish my head because I really did not want to go with a 88-89mm bore so I'm working with the stock L6 heads to try and find the hot spots and flow restrictions. Right now I'm at my college 3d Scanning the chambers on a N42 head once the chambers I'll be slicing the head open for more scanning. Sorry about the thread jack 1 fast z but once again my hat goes off to you. tbs
  11. My L6 Always detonates on #6 But I did route my turbo water back there. For a problem that was obviously discovered way back in the day I'm surprised that the head cooling has not be talked about that much. I planned that this year I would try the electromotive approach to the cooling issue but I'm now sidetracked, my college just picked up a small 3d scanner. This Fall I'll be scanning an N42 heads exterior and then cutting up the junk head and getting in to all the internal passages for some extreme cfd test and if anyone has a p90 to donate I would love to get a scan of that as well. tbs
  12. you'll need to convert your s130 to rack and pinion for it to fit. The steering gear box is in the way of where the turbo will set. tbs
  13. rontyler I'll be happy to test your manifold. send the dxfs to hangman48@hotmail.com and I'll get on it. Also would you please send me the dxfs for the manifold flange. tbs
  14. wow a head almost done. I'm just curious 1fastz you remind me of a friend that I have and would like to know when you say my dad and I, how much really is your dad? Also I do not want to start a thread war but what calculations did you have to do? tbs
  15. has anyone ever seen this website out of austriala tbs
  16. No the computer fires to the coil. For the 82 wiring go to http://carfiche.com/manuals020/cars/ and when the 82 280zx is available download it. It’s in PDF format and everything is there that you'll need. tbs
  17. ecu does not need tach signal for injectors but I think the ecu sends a signal out to the trigger to fire the coil on the negative side. What year is the harness and all post a wire diagram. tbs
  18. as long as its a non turbo 300 then it will work with some mods. Search for 240sx trany upgrade. tbs
  19. He might be referring to MACK, 1fastz and myself. As to my knowledge none of the heads are done yet. But if you wanted to be different you can try as we have or adapt the skyline head to fit or solve the restrictions of the factory L6 head. tbs
  20. A friend of mine is trying to import a skyline and he said he needs to contact nissan japan for some information. I really don't know anything about the importing of cars. I just figured that someone on the board might know it or know someone that does since this is the best Z site around and me have many users around the world. tbs
  21. robtpt well said! hegan1956 I've been having trouble invisioning this manifold. I presonally believe that indvidual throttle bodies are for track use for the quick throttle response. but that .5 second drop in time has sprang my intrest. can you post a drawing of how this looks and I'll draw one up for the L6 and run a test on it. I started this post to help the L6 guys out by running flowtest and bouncing ideas back and forth to try and come up with the best flow tested design possible. Keep it coming guys and I'll keep running flow test. tbs
  22. ok here it is my fixed flow http://www.needmoreboost.com/turbobluestreak/fixed-flow.avi tbs
