  1. I need help figuring out how to lift my car now... I lowered it with coilovers I built to pretty low.. The pinch welds are about 2 inches off the ground. I can barely get lift arms underneath, but they are so torn up I hate using them.. any ideas?
  2. update: I have the ecu, harness, and jpipe. I need now -Downpipe -upper exhaust section (comes after downpipe) or the flange for it -MAF and anything else I might have missed.
  3. guppies how much for the j-pipe
  4. I have a turbo ecu that you need.$60 shipped.I accept paypal

  5. anybody have prices? EDIT: I also need a J-tube
  6. Hey I'm looking for some parts for a turbo conversion. I need -wiring harness -ecu -o2 sensor housing -downpipe -vacuum canisters any help would be awesome.
  7. low oil pressure at idle means a few things... the pressure relief spring in the oil pump could be damaged. there could be excessive wear between the bearing journals on the crankshaft.. I'm gonna get a mechanical gauge to make sure that I know for sure what the numbers are.
  8. What's wrong with an electric type gauge? It is a brand new oil pressure sender.
  9. Do I get an electric type or mechanical type gauge? and if it turns out to not be the gauge, what else could it be?
  10. I know its probably somewhere on here, but I'm having trouble finding it. What are the various front brake upgrades for the S130? Which ones are just bolt on and what parts are required? Any help would be awesome. Thanks.
  11. I made my own coilovers using some parts we had at the shop I work at. It's pretty simple, just takes some machining. Let me know if you need any help. I have pictures of everything.
  12. yeah, I know I need a rebuild, just been avoiding it for a while. I put a catch can in to see how much blow-by I'm getting to see if it could be the rings.. I also need to do a leak-down test, just haven't gotten around to it.
  13. Just did one, problem is still the same. Is it possible the oil pump is bad, and its just churning the oil instead of pumping it through the system?
  14. I built custom coilovers, and that gives me a pretty significant range. Are you looking for actual performance or just lowering it?
  15. I've replaced the sender, and cleaned the connectors. The oil level is good, although it does do it more when it is low. Other info... it drops when I shift then comes back up as soon as I give it gas. sometimes at a little throttle it stays zero until I stomp on it. Oil is 20w50 (so it will burn less)
  16. what parts are you going to take off of it for yourself?
  17. Z motors are pretty durable. I know someone who got a turbo motor out of the junkyard, boosted it to 15psi, and it ran for a year before he blew the motor (without doing any other work)
  18. Another thing is the 130 speedo comes out of an earlier Z, and the speedo gear in the transmission is linked to the diff, so if you have a different gearing, the speedo will be off.
  19. I have an '82 280zx (NA) and my oil pressure is pretty strange. My oil pressure wavers a lot. When I come to a stop, the pressure drops to zero then comes back up. When I floor it, it stays pretty steady at around 80 psi (K&N oil filter) but sometimes it drops pretty low, but the oil light never comes on, even when the gauge reads 0. The car also burns lots of oil, so its time for a rebuild, but I have good compression (180 all around). Just wondering if anyone has any ideas.
  20. if you're building a race car, get the momo hub with an NRG quick release. it may be 3" longer, but it feels so much better to have the wheel closer to you. (while having your feet in the same position). It's also easier to steer when its close to you.
  21. It is entirely possible to drift a 280zx. They have good weight balance, front engine, rear wheel drive, good suspension set up etc... If you're worried about an open diff you can swap an 87-89 Z31-T R200 into your car (factory LSD). Or if you're poor, weld the diff. As for the weight, mine is about 2600-2800 lbs.
  22. you make 2 adapters that press on that are the same outer diameter of the thread tube, then you press on the thread tube. takes a little machining, but we have a lathe at the shop I work at.
