  3. Just all around. Timing mainly. But I've decided to go RB so I won't be using megasquirt on this project. I was running, but not well.
  4. The engine was running okay before. I got it to idle fairly well. The last time I remember it running I opened up the throttle abit and it began to run rough and died. I found that the cylinders were flooded which has me leaning to running rich. Matt from DIY pointed out that I have no vacuum while cranking so I am going to check for compression tonight, not sure how I could have lost compression just idling, but it would be nice to check that off the list. Timing looks good while cranking. 10 degrees.
  5. Hello everyone, Back again with another issue. My l28et for whatever reason has stopped firing. I am able to crank, but get nothing. It does act like it wants to start if I play with the throttle, so I'm thinking I may have too much fuel? I pulled a spark plug and it is somewhat wetted with fuel, but nothing too major. I know I am getting fuel and spark. I am running the stock 83 l28et distributor. I am attaching my startup datalog and current tune for your review. Any help is appreciated.   6. Hey guys, Was wondering if anyone is in the area would be willing to help out with my build. All the parts are there just need a more experienced one to help with the tuning aspect. Willing to pay.
  7. Not sure if this is normal or not but it's been this way since I've installed megasquirt. I turn the ignition on and megasquirt powers up but I notice D14 is solid red. Does this mean my injectors are stuck open? It will flash when I am cranking but right now my motor seems to be flooded everytime I go to start it. My spark output is set to JS10. Any suggestions? Is that Led normal? Thanks.

  9. Hey all, Just wondering if it would be safe to use a 1/8 watt 1k resistor as opposed to a 1/4 watt as a pullup from my distributor on my l28et. I have a 1/8 watt handy, if not I'll be heading to the store tomorrow. Just curious.   10. I've been in search of a clutch master push rod and fork for a while now. I've purchased 3 master cylinders but all the rods are about 3/4inch short. Does anyone happen to have an extra rod and fork for a 240z? I believe the rod itself should be 4.5 inches. Thanks all.
  11. Hey guys, Just wondering if you could share your setup and maybe some photos of where you Installed you IAT Sensor? I am thinking I may be drilling and tapping a hold in my intake but that is not the most desirable route for me. Please share what you've done. Thanks, Kelven
  12. Hey guys, So I picked up a Clutch Master from Rock Auto and installed it but it is too short. As in it doesn't allow a full throw from my clutch pedal. Does anyone know where I could get an OEM Clutch Master cylinder that will work?
  13. I also recommend Megasquirt. I've wasted many hours fiddling with the old wiring harness and ecu. Megasquirt will simplify things for you. You will want to either install a surge tank or do a baffled fuel tank swap. I recommend the surge tank as the 240z return lines are pretty small for the FI application.

  17. Hey guys, I know this is probably a dumb question, but I'm running a stock l28et ignition setup with my megasquirt on fixed timing. Can I take advantage of a ignition table with the stock distributor or do I need to go edis first?

  19. Good morning Everyone! I've been asking around. I am in desperate need of a Clutch Master Push rod for a 240z. Would you happen to have one to spare? I bought a new master and the rod was too short. Threw out the old one before I realized. Stupid mistake. According to Rock Auto this is a common problem with their part, yet they continue to place it in the search results. Thanks, Kelven
  20. I had MS2 running on my l28et. I adjusted my fuel mixture after that it seems that my injectors have stopped firing. I get a pulse light while cranking and both banks are flashing while using the stim. I even un did all changes, but still cannot get the car to start. I no longer hear the injectors clicking. Any ideas?
  21. I was hoping to have someone with more tuning knowledge than me take a look at this data log from my first start and let me know if anything looks out of wack. I finally got the car the run, but I doesn't seem like it wants to idle. Also seems super rich to me.   22. I know the simple solution would be to have a drive shaft made to fit my application, but I'm wondering if there is another way to get my driveshaft to fit my setup. I have a 240Z with a T5 Tranny and R180 Diff. I have both the driveline from the 240Z and the 280zx donor car. My question is: Instead of having a custom driveshaft made to shorten the length and fit both the R180 and T5, would it be possible to buy a shorter T5 Slip Yoke and install it on the driveshaft from the 240?
