About Me

Owner of Automotive Solutions in chapel hill N.C.

My first Z was a 1976 280Z bought around 1986 when I was 17. I built that motor with a Howard’s cam, pace setter headers & Ansa exhaust. I feel I had one of the first shaved n42 intakes. No one was messing with the fuel injection then. I made a custom fuel rail out of copper pipe and compression fittings, surprisingly it didn’t leak and looked great polished. Polished top tank on the radiator. Ventured to the dark side with a couple small block Chevy powered Z’s. Money was tight and small block power was cheap. Now I am firmly back in the L motor family to stay. Money is better and that is the motor that belongs in a Z.
