  1. Can anyone tell me what Nissan did with the VQ40 to make it accept regular unleaded and how the changes can be applied to the VQ35? Also if you reduce the compression (and what ever else you have to do to the VQ35) to do this, where is the threshold, that is how do you measure when you are in the regular unleaded region but still get the most horsepower on the least amount of octane? Thanks Dave
  2. Ha, I thought so myself. I was going for the 17" look but it's hard to size them just so. The future ones will use a looser hand so you might see the wheels get much larger for effect. I'll tone down the hood vents and paint it up before I do anything else. The Z is an interesting car, you can't do much with the roof shape unless you want to spend tones of money chopping it so you have to compensate in other areas, I'll keep trying different stuff - maybe some thumbnails will be in order. Thanks for all the input, it's like having a group of directors who live and breathe what they are involved in, very cool. I can't promise that I will design a properly knitted z for I'm trying to break the mold - it will be a z though... Here's a cop car I did for 'need for speed' just to set the quality bar... Dave
  3. I do concepts and design for Video games for a living. Since I just bought a 72 z and plan on modifying it soon I thought I would put my skills to good use and design some kits. I will continue coloring it and paint up a back view as well, then try some original and different ones. The objective I gave myself was to modify existing kits into a wide body and try and make it look tasteful given the dimensions of the 240z - it's an interesting car to work with. I think this try is looking a little beefy, what do you think? Thanks Dave
  4. Jon; I thought about that before I posted the thread but I didn't know what type of wheels they were so I just typed 'Wheels.' I guess I could have typed: 'Anyone know what wheels these are...', I will have to ponder it further in the future. Silent; These look to be 13" FX Wheels. http://www.kodiakracingwheels.com/prices.html Thanks.
  5. They are custom, so for a 16x10 the cost is $875 per wheel! The cost goes down for the 16x7 and 16x8, the will run you $430 per wheel. I'm trying to find 16x10 to 16x11.5 ones that look the same and hopefully are of the same quality. Anyone know where to look? Thanks. This person did an awsome job on his car and the wheels look like Boyd Coddington ETs, are they?
  6. Thanks guys. It's amazing you know the owner of the car by name - It's going to be fun being a part of this community. I look forward to it. Dave
  7. Does anyone know what type of wheels these are? Thanks D

What brand, type and size are the wheels in this picture? They seem perfect for a Z... Thanks Dave
  9. I would be interested in the whale tail. What shape is it in and how much do you want for it? Can you please send any pictures of it my way? Thanks Dave
