  1. Jay, how did the S2000 seat install go, what did you have to do to get them in there? Dave
  2. shika805, can you tell us how you installed the S2000 seats - what rails you used, how they fit, fabrication etc? Thanks Dave
  3. I am now a Concept Artist designing video games for Zipper Interactive Games (Sony) I have done some other things in my life… Art school Salvage diver Police Academy Royal Canadian Mountie (They tend to eat their young - I was spit out.) Store detective for Safeway (I was too big and I was burned all the time) Back to school Graphic Designer (Getting warmer - hard to break-in) Technical Illustrator (I was good at it and liked it but I was laid-off and couldn't find work) Security Guard (Just to bridge the gap) Sheriff Academy British Columbia Deputy Sheriff (You automatically become a Marshall of the Admiralty once you get this job - British holdover I guess.) Document server (Moonlighting) License plate seizure (Legit Moonlighting for the same boss as the Sheriffs. At 4am people used to tell their dogs to shut-up for barking at me) Animation school (I was loosing brain cells in the Sheriffs and getting in trouble for drawing in court) Background, Prop Designer for an Animation Studio Storyboard Artist (9-11 happened = no work for animation studios = lay-off) Computer Animation School Modeler for video games Concept artist. 4. Hey reverendzed if you get a set and you don't want the chrome strips I'll buy them from you... Thanks Dave
  5. Stony takes the trophy, but here's what I inherited...
  6. Any one out there willing to sell a good condition set of chrome tail light trim pieces? The tail lights on my 72 240z are good but the chrome strips are in terrible shape. I just need the trim pieces not the tail light lenses or assemblies. Thanks Dave
  7. You may have seen this but here it is... http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20080511/franz_stigler_080511/20080511?hub=Canada
  8. It depends on his monitor - some people could be seeing purple for all we know...
  9. Here's site you guys might be interested in... http://speedbirds.blogspot.com/ Cheers Dave
  10. John, I will use mine for daily driving and the occasional autocross so if you have hard core racers that need them right away I can be bumped - other than that, cash in hand. Thanks Dave
  11. I just got my triple Mikunis reconditioned there. Todd seems like a nice guy that does a good job. He says he is always willing to talk over any issues and will walk you through things as well. I will let you know how the carbs work but so far things look very positive. Here are the carbs cleaned up, more pictures at the photo site below.
  12. I grew up in Halliburton and went to School at Georgian College. I also spent 6 months working as a diver building docks on Lake Simcoe - very windy lake, used to smash much of our work. I know those trees and I wish we had them out here instead of cottonwoods - my family produces maple syrup near Minden. It's good to see people with Zs out east for there aren't many that way due to the rust. That goes for anyone with a Z on the east coast - hat's off to you for keeping the cars alive, the rust is bad enough out on the west coast... Anyway just to keep on track here's my wheels - hopefully they will be on my completed car by Christmas.
  13. The gray one looks like it's in someplace like Haliburton...
  14. Hey Jon, do you know of anyone in the Seattle area that rebuilds Mikuni 44s? Thanks Dave
  15. Thanks for doing this John. It will be nice to now have bolt-in access to fairly new LSD for my old car. Cheers. -D
  16. Thanks for posting the pics! Interesting, you would think they'd have engineered the gauges better for more even light distribution. It looks good in any case and the photos are probably darker than to the naked eye. Exactly what was the bulbs item number and did you ever try one for the dome light? -D
  17. I was thinking about this air box - $375.00 is a bit expensive for what you get. I would like to retain the air horns for the ram effect and it seems, from what I have read, an air box causes a restriction at the outside edge preventing direct induction. Does the ITG style allow free and direct air flow straight into the horns?
  18. I was thinking about getting these from Pierce Manifolds, but I have to check the horn size on my Mikunis. http://www.piercemanifolds.com/airfilters.htm
  19. Hey m4xwellmurd3r, is there any chance you can post some pics of the result? Thx D
  20. I know what you mean, there's only so much you can do to a z-car without causing it to look cheesy. Your car looks sweet, tastefully done!
  21. Yeah you are right, almost like a girl with short legs appears to have an abnormally large ribcage etc.
